A series win for the Aggies would be HUGE this weekend.

I prefer to just call him the Hitting Streak Rapist. All good criminals need a tagline.

Ags improved to 12-4 on the year winning 2 of 3 games against FIU.
Ags won 6-5 Friday night in 10 innings. Our ace didn't have his best stuff but for once our bats were able to pull through.
Ags lost Saturday 2-1 also in 10 innings. Same old story, great pitching poor situational hitting. Had several chances with RISP but weren't able to produce.
Ags won Sunday 8-5 in a bit of a wild game. Ags were down 5-2 going in to the bottom of the 7th. A couple good hits and the Ags were able to plate a couple of runs. After three up three down it's 5-4 going in to the bottom of the 8th. After the Ags get runners on second and third FIU brings in a new pitcher.
His first pitch is a wild pitch that brings in the tying run. His next pitch is also a wild pitch that brings in the go ahead run. After his third pitch went wild as well the FIU coach came out to make a pitching change before this guy killed someone.
When the new guy came to the mound the Ags coach came out and informed the umps that FIU could not make a pitching change. In MLB and NCAA baseball any relief pitcher brought in must either record one out or have one batter reach base. So, they had to send a trainer in to the locker room to go get wild thing and have him finish the at bat. Needless to say he was a little upset. He threw one more wild pitch and walked off the mound and back to the locker room. Didn't even wait for his coach to come get him.
Next guy in, recorded an out and then gave up a two run shot. After all that the game was pretty much over.
Now the Ags face CS Fullerton in the mid-week and then travel to Norman to face the red hot Sooners. If the Ags can find a way to go 2-2 this week they would be in decent shape.

Sounds like some exciting baseball. Wish I could have witnessed that debacle.

Haven't heard Stubb's update on Matt Purke's horrible outing to a terrible team.

need to win this weekend. It'd be nice to start conference with a series win.

A series win in Norman would be huge, but I'm not holding my breath. If we steal one I'll be happy, although it does seem like OU has cooled off a little bit so there is a small chance we could win two if our bats wake up.

Ags get a huge series win in Norman 2-1. Lost the Friday game 1-0 but bounced back for Saturday and Sunday to take the series. Ags have 5 losses, 4 by one run, and one by 3. Still a very early season but so far things are going about as well as one could have hoped for.

If the bats will wake up and the pitching holds pat, we could be a very tough team to beat.

Ags beat SFA in the mid week game and then got the sweep of Kansas 3-0 at home. The pitching staff didn't give up a single ER all weekend and now have a combined ERA below 1.00.
They now play 9 of their next 10 games on the road so we will really see what this team is made of in the next two weeks.
