What do y'all think of all of this?
I think something will happen, not sure what.
If tu bolts to the Big 11 where will the other pieces fall?
I would hope that the SEC would take ou and the Ags and make two power conferences but I don't know if the SEC has any interest in that anymore.
Culturally and geographically the Ags are very attractive to the SEC, but I don't know if the money would be there to get the deal done.
What do y'all think? This could be the thread to revive the board!!!

I heard something about tu switching but I didn't know it was going to be to the Big 10. Why would they do that and if they did would it be the new Big 12 conference?

Yeah I just read an article and supposedly Texas wouldn't want to join the Big 10 because it's too far north and too cold. Rumors say the Pac-10 are also interested in picking them up but that would be in a couple years.

I think the big xii is going to be disassembled. My HSO: SEC grabs texas which then would cause them to bring in the ags, thus bringing lsu, ark and them together. I know its all far fetched but I think the big xii has screwed themselves and is going to get demolished. Its a problem when I can watch every single aggie bball game but can't watch them play tech in football. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the bball causwe I watch most of em. But these other conferences have their own networks. I could have watched all indiana mich state games last year while I listen to the aggie games on the radio. Where would you want the ags to go Fisch? An easier conference like the Pac 10 or a harder but more appealing conference like the SEC? The SEC would provide better matchups regionally. Not texasw teeam should be in the big10 either. Doewsnt seem right.

I think nothing happens this year, maybe in 5 years or so but nothing soon.

I agree. I think the Big Twelve's days are numbered, but it won't be happening this year. I would guess in three to five years.

No one has mentioned it happening this year. The earliest anything can happen is 2012 or 2014.
I am saying that the Big 12 will look vastly different in 2014 or will be defunct.
I really hope tu goes to the big 10.

That means absolutley nothing.
I don't think they'll go to the Big 10, but the Big 12 is on its way out.
I think that tu was talking with the Big 10 to force its hand for something else. Not sure what, though.

I think it was just a play to show the Big 12 that tu is the alpha dog and that changes need to be made. What those changes are I don't know, but there is now way tu could go to the big 11.
