I wouldn't call them attractive "football" schools. Why would the SEC want NCST? Because of their football prowess? It's an attractive school but not because of football. BIG would be interested in UNC, Duke, Maryland, and UVA for the same reasons. The same could be said for A&M. Sure they have their traditions and avid fans but the main selling point is the 1000s of alums in DFW and Houston.
Clemson could almost be held in the same regard. It's a school with a football history but not a whole lot as of late. It's not sought out for it's immediate TV market-it's sought out because it's a known commodity and alums are spread out from Atlanta to North Carolina. The same could be said about most of the ACC. It's a collection of moderately-sized schools that tend to select more students from across the country than most of the schools in the B12.

Back to FSU-nothing will happen until July when TCU and WVU become members. Depending on who you read and who you believe there are at least two school against expansion and another 2 that could go either way. TCU and WVU are all for expansion and aren't living in the past like some and their votes are critical to accepting FSU. If FSU is admitted it will most likely kick in a clause in the TV deal that would allow TCU and WVU to become fully vested members. Right now they will build up their payout for three years before receiving a share equal to all members. The B12 will providfe a gift to FSU to help with their exit fee. The remainder will be loaned and paid back over the next three years with TV money.
Also seeing some tweets that say ND could move their olympic sports to the B12 by 2013 and would become football members after their NBC deal expires in 2015. I would assume part of the TV deal would include a ND network with ESPN similar to the LHN. How ESPN can remain solvent in all this is beyond me but that's what I'm reading. It's still a longshot but with each passing day the possibilities increase ever so slightly.
On the other side of the coin, Neinas says that ND and NBC are in talks for a renewal. FYI, ND is only getting 9M a year from NBC. As much as they puff out their chest about the deal I thought they were in the 20M range.

I think Notre Dame will go to the Big10.
Academically more prestigious, by a long shot. The Big12 is quickly becoming the Sunbelt in that aspect.
Geographically, its a better fit too.

I completely agree but it seems like there's little interest on either side. From what I gather ND thinks the BIG plays dirty outside the lines and the BIG schools resent the attention ND gets. Plus, BIG has been the most resistant to change of all the big conferences. Would BIG allow ND to keep their 3rd tier rights or would ND be willing to forfeit theirs?
That's where they should be but from what we hear there is little interest on either side...at this time.

I can't see it at work but if it's the one I'm thinking of it's about the worst thing I've ever seen. At least the girl who said "Go Cocks" was halfway cute. They picked the goofiest kids on campus to do that video.
The kids from the UT Co-Op did a parody that is pretty funny. You tube is blocked at work but you can probably find it pretty easily.

The video I posted is now blocked on my phone. Maybe it was taken down or something.

I just watched it again on my phone. The official one from A&M may have been taken down but surely there will be some copies uploaded. TCU had something similar happen on a Call Me Maybe parody. The school had it removed but someone on the TCU board recorded it with his phone and the school has asked You Tube to take it down but they won't. In other Aggie news: Dear Season Ticket Holder, With football season right around the corner, we know that anticipation is high for the Gators in 2012. Among the highlights of the Gators' schedule is the program's first visit to Texas A&M and famed Kyle Field, one of the most exciting venues in college football. As you can imagine, interest and excitement of our first visit to College Station has been extremely high. We refunded more than 2,000 tickets for this game, as we were provided an allotment of 6,000 tickets, below the traditional yield of 8,500 at other SEC venues. We are writing to alert you that most of the tickets we received will be seated in the upper north end zone in section 501-509 and 516-524 (we've provided a map to illustrate locations). We received very few lower level seats and those received are located in the lower south corners of the stadium and beyond the goal line. A majority of these lower level seats will be utilized for our band, players' guests and internal working entities, leaving fewer seats for our boosters in these areas. There were no sideline seats between the goal lines in the allotment we received for this game. This is Texas A&M's first year in the Southeastern Conference and this is traditional with how they accommodated opponents during their time in the Big 12. Texas A&M has season ticket holders sitting on the sidelines so they cannot simply relocate fans out of those seats and provide them for opposing teams. This is something we plan on addressing with the SEC to ensure future conference opponents receive an allotment in both size and location more consistent with current member institutions. We value your support, patience and understanding in this matter and if we can answer any questions, do not hesitate to contact the Gator Ticket Office at 352-375-4683, x6800. Thanks and Go Gators! Sincerely, Mark S. Gajda Assistant Athletic Director, Tickets Apparently the SEC is trying to portray a gentlemanly appearance: www.gatorcountry.com/swampgas/showthread.php?t=233520#ixzz1zlERSzZ3

Post #15 made me laugh: "I hope we give them 1K seats in the sunshine and I hope it's a noon game in September."

Man, that will show you guys. This is the dumbest argument I've ever seen.
Loved this one:
They obviously don't realize that the SEC represents CLASS!! JFC!!!!
Got the same letter. I'm so PISSED. Now I wonder if my 2 will actually show up in the mail. And from what I hear......we are all sitting in the end zone at 14,300 feet above sea level.
Just wrong. That's one way to become an immediately hated SEC rival ASAP! What is in order here? Golf clap? or JFC FU?
Wow...the SEC folks are just as delusional as everyone else.

Well, you can go on any collegiate board across the country and you will have plenty of dumbasses that represent each school.

But they have over 2000+ dumbasses who returned tickets because they weren't getting good seats.
