Never said those two worried about TCU, GP, or Baylor. Many associated with those schools would love to see both coaches go but I never once mentioned those names.
1) How do we know he didn't deny it? Cedric is a hack. He's probably written half a dozen speculation pieces about GP over the years. He's trying to sell newspapers and get page clicks. It wouldn't benefit him to say that he denied it even if he had.
2) GP has always said never say never. He said similar things when KSU, Minn, and Auburn were interested in talking to him.

You said that stoops and brown were making up rumors about gp. That insinuates that you think they're worried.

I said Austin and Norman, not Stoops and Brown. I think most coaches don't concern themselves with these things.

Fred Smith (FED EX founder) might have given more than that if we had a chance to win some football games this year. Reynolds (Alcoa Aluminum/Reynolds Wrap) has his name on the stadium anyway, they are both just trying to move up to a higher donation level in order to get some decent seats. Just like Sully and Stubbs.
Arkansas needs to name Paul Petrino HC and then Paul needs to hire Bobby to be the OC. WIN/WIN!

John L. Smith? What's their fascination with Louisville retreads? Where Lee Corso and Howard Schnellenberger not available?

I guess it's the best we could do in this situation. Arkansas will load up in December and go after a permanent coach.
Players seem to be happy. Meh.
Hope LHCGP has a great season this year at TCU.

I figure you guys have been staying up nights waiting for my response on this version of Arkansas Razorback football. So, here goes: BAck to mediocrity. We get what we deserve. Mark my words, Bobby Petrino will be coaching major college football in two years while Arkansas sinks back to .500 football. Sometimes I amaze myself with my vast knowledge of football. Here is a great rundown of what has happened at Arkansas. I agree with it 100%. BMFPis a micro-managing prison-warden perfectionist hardass. This program was his prison, the assistants his hapless guards, the players his prisoners. Players hated him, his assistants hated him. Jeff Long and Bob Gearhart hate him. He demanded working your ass off. He knew every detail of every aspect of this team and he called all of the shots. His assistants did what he told them to do, coached the way he told them to coach. The players worked their asses off for him for fear of having their mommas-boy-everybody-gets-a-trophy-coddled-p*ssy-ass feelings hurt by his diatribes for being a p*ssy. He squeezed productivity out of his players that defy the laws of physics. It worked and would have continued to work as long as he was in charge. Without him running the show, it immediately, and much faster than imaginable by anyone, became like a prison where the guards are buddy-buddy with the inmates and let them run the f*cking thing – complete chaos.
The assistants no longer have BMFP yelling at them, telling them what to do – and they don’t know what to do. No assistant worth his job title would work for a head coach like him; see Ellis Johnson and Lorenzo Ward. They use their hate for BMFP and his coaching style as a reason to not coach that way, thinking this team and these players will be better having a softer staff that cares for them and appreciates them – this approach can work, but not for a group of prisoners just released from 4 years of oppression.
The players that remain in the program need the hardass discipline, its the only way they know to play. Like the inmates no longer respecting the guards with no hardass warden backing them up, these players do not respect this staff. They don’t practice hard. They don’t play hard. They screw up all of the small details that make a huge difference.
Sum it all up and voila, you get what we have on the field.
This team, with Tyler Wilson returning (god-willing), will still put forth some good efforts at home. they don’t want to suck, but they are very fragile. I still think they beat Rutgers, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and Tulsa in close games at home. On the road, this team will fold at the first signs of adversity and pack it in like they did vs. Alabama.
PS- I may be giving this team a little too much credit by calling them mediocre.
