Just curious, what do you think about the morals of Jimmy Johnson, Bear Bryant and Barry Switzer? How'd you like those 3 Super Bowls???

Let's look back on what Bobby Petrino's career has been. This is just off the top of my head.
He's at Louisville, flies to Auburn to interview for a job that isn't open. HUGE no no in the coaching business. First sign that he's disloyal, in it for himself only, has no issues with screwing people, and is overall shady.
He then gets hired with Atlanta. He bolts in the middle of the season because he sucks there. Again, further proof that he has ZERO issues with screwing over his players, coaches, bosses, and fans.
Then, he gets hired at Arkansas. He HIRES his strange and gets caught.
Why is anyone surprised that this a hole is willing to throw everything away for his own enjoyment? He has consistently proven that he cares nothing about anyone or any team. That always comes back to get you.
Of course no college coach is a saint. But they aren't Petrino either.

When did this turn in to a morality argument? Petrino didn't get fired for cheating on his family, he got fired because he HIRED the skank to work for him, and then tried to cover it up.
Whether this happened at Arkansas, Bama, or any public company in America he would have been fired. If not, Arkansas would spend the next 10 years in court fighting case after case regarding their hiring practices.
Had Petrino just been nailing some chick on the side this would have probably never come out, or been swept under the rug so fast most people would have forgotten about it by now. He was the dumbass that thought it would be a good idea to hire his mistress, and then try and lie about it after he got caught. He left Arkansas no choice, the guy is a straight up head case.

I agree with most of that. I just think that they should have known what they were getting into because the guy is shady. People who are shady do things like hire their strange.

I really like the term "strange", wish I could use it more.
Now where does Arkansas go from here? Do they go the interim route for a year and risk killing recruiting or try and hire a decent name this late in the year?

Interesting, that's a name I haven't heard yet, but would probably make sense.

They never had this type of issue. You asked what bama would do in this situation?? Ask mike price. Mike Price never coached a game at Alabama, much less went 21-5 his last 2 years and finished in the top 5 the previous year. Would Alabama fire Saban? Come on.

Arkansas has 2 options:
I think we hire back Garrick McGee from UAB. He was on staff last year and would have the support of the players and most dumbass fans (of which Arkansas has many). Of course he has ZERO head coaching experience and a past that includes a DWI arrest AND burglary convictions when he was in college. Now, how our sanctimonious fan base and AD can reconcile these facts with their lofty standards is beyond me.
Second option is to promote one of the guys on staff now and give him the interim title.
It doesn't really matter, Arkansas isn't interested in winning championships, as long as we beat the Mississippi schools every now and represent our Christian ideals we are satisfied.

Lot of chatter on message boards about a coach with FW ties. I doubt it happens, but I bet someone gets a big raise from TCU in the near future.
