4-3 win for the Ags on Tuesday and a 3-2 win against Holy Cross tonight in the bottom of the 11th on a walk off walk.
Pitching has been top notch but the offense is sputtering a little bit.

TCU loses 2-3 at CS-Fullerton. Yesterday they started out down 7-0 and it was 11-3 at one time. They battled back to make it 11-10 going into the 9th but the game was called on account of TCU having to catch a plane back home. College baseball sucks.
I thought TCU was ranked too high to begin with and they have so far shown little to prove me wrong. They look clueless at the plate and on the bases. They aren't too much better in the field. They had three WPs on INT walks this weekend. Three. Two guys were thrown out at the plate on pass balls. They almost got no-hit by Baylor last Tuesday. OSU is in town this week and it could get ugly.
On a positive note, UT is struggling as well.
Also, UNT's club baseball team successfully petitioned the NCBA to be removed from probation...

Frogs shouldn't be ranked. At the end of the year their record will be deceiving by playing in the weak MWC with only 6 teams. They'll win conference and go to the tourney again but shouldn't be more than a 3 seed. I have a feeling A&M will administer a huge beat down in FW later this season.

I just ducked under my desk for fear of lightning striking my computer... Stubbs made a rational and unbiased post about TCU.

Ha! No, I just don't think they are very good. If you'll remember from last year I commented on how undisciplined they were on the bases and how fundamentally unsound they appeared at times. This team is worse. I want to like Schloss but he's become predictable in his strategy and his players are not doing the little things right. UH's coach was our hitting coach over until last year and we miss him more now than ever. I think his style will get him killed in the B12.

TCU loses to Texas State 1-0 on 4 hits. 2, 3, and 4 hitters are out for a couple more weeks but it doesn't excuse the rest of the lineup not being able to hit the broad side of a barn. I listened to the game some last night and from what the play-by-play guy said and others who were at the game corroborated, the umpire had a HUGE strikezone but the Frogs did nothing to adjust and had at least a half dozen backwards ks. He called it all night and they just stood there. Their lack of plate discipline drove me crazy last year and from all accounts its worse this year. Gonna be a rough year. We'll be lucky to take one from OSU this weekend.
What did the Ags do last night? SFA was a scrappy team last year.

Ags played Northwestern State, went down early 10-1, but scored 8 in the 6th, 4 in the 7th, and 1 in the 8th to win 14-10. Sucks that the pitching choked up, but nice to see the team rally and get a crazy win.

Geez...would love to have heard Dave's disinterest in the 5th inning and then his near heart attack in the 7th!

Ags took care of business this weekend sweeping MSU 7-3, 4-0, and 9-8 to improve to 11-1 on the year.
Ags now play PV A&M this Tuesday and then top 15 Cal State Fullerton comes to Aggieland for a 3 game weekend series.

TCU took 2 of 3 from OSU. Game 3 was a gift. OSU's catcher dropped the 3rd out in the bottom of the 9th allowing the runner from 2nd to score the tying run. Frogs eventually won it in the 10th. It's been a long time since I've seen a boneheaded play like that. The 1B or 3B should have called him off. Baylor comes to town tomorrow and then Tech comes in for a weekend series.

Arkansas played in something called the Houston Classic over the weekend. They beat Texas Tech, lost to Houston, then beat Texas. Always good to beat Texas.
