That RPI is just going to get worse going into MWC play. Only SDSU is any good this year. Usually UNM is decent but they're awful. BYU and Utah usually had decent teams too but now that they're gone it's basically 9-5A.
Saw the craziest baseball game ever last night. TCU wins 9-4 over Baylor. The two teams combined to set an NCAA record with 12 hit batters. Nine for TCU and 3 by Baylor. It was crazy windy last night and at least half a dozen times pitchers literally fell off the mound in their follow through. The total could have been much worse. One Baylor kid making his first appearance of the year threw a pitch a full three feet over the umpire's head and two pitches later missed the catcher wide by at least 5 feet. I believe Baylor's 4 runs were scored on ZERO hits. All scored on walks or errors. They also had an inning with 4 hits and scored none. TCU was down 4-2 going into the 8th and scored 7 runs on 2 hits. Baylor walked 5 guys in a row at one point.

At the request of Tech, Friday's game in Fort Worth was cancelled. Apparently TCU is not the kind of program they want to play right now.

Ags beat PV 10-1 Tuesday, play CS Fullerton this weekend if the weather allows the games to be played.

So tech wants to cancel the Friday game but still try and play the Saturday/Sunday games? That doesn't make a dang bit of sense to me.

The weather is going to be the worst today and tomorrow. maybe they're hoping it'll clear up by sat, sun?

Yeah, but why not just play it by ear and try to get as many games in as possible. You are traveling there any way, I don't see what canceling the Friday game helps. This is also tech so that probably explains part of the logic.

tech's place in the pecking order could not be falling any faster.
Three years ago they were challenging for the third spot in the Big 12.
Now they're behind:
texas OU OSU Baylor TCU W. Virginia and probably K State
I love it.

Yeah, the worst is supposed to come tonight and tomorrow. Saturday's forecast calls for showers but not T-storms. Both coaches already agreed before the season to not play a DH so I guess they didn't even want to bother with tomorrow. I wish they'd at least wait until tomorrow to make a decision. A few years ago when the remnants of some hurricane came through TCU decided to move the Stanford game from 1 to 4:30. At 1 the weather was fine. Around 2 it started to rain. Around 4 the wind really picked up. At kickoff they called Geraldo to come do a live shot. The opening kickoff was fielded at the 25. The rest of the game was played in a driving rainstorm with winds as high as 60 MPH. Watch, it won't even rain tomorrow.

Geraldo's hurricane spots are the best. Did you see when he fell in Galveston face first in two feet of water? Another time in Florida he fell against a rock. Hilarious. He's a good sport about it. When I'm 65 I hope to be in good enough shape to fight through hurricanes.
Tech is completely insignificant in basketball now. At least when Knight was coaching there was something to talk about. They were meh but still had talking points. Now they are a complete afterthought. How long before BCG gets the boot? Baseball has fallen off as well.

Tech has been irrelevant in every sport for the past 3 years or so. As Fisch said it's crazy how close they were to being near to top in the big 12, only to blow it all in a fraction of time it took them to build. Couldn't happen to better group in my opinion.
