Frogs give up 2 in the 9th to UTA to lose 5-4. Five errors last night. They lost 2 of 3 in Alburquerque over the weekend. One of those in the 9th as well. They have trouble closing out games. This team just isn't very good.

We were in CS last weekend for my niece's first bday and got a tour of Blue Bell Park. That is a great facility.
Speaking of...what the heck happened to the Ags last weekend and where the hell did Baylor come from at 18-0 in conference play? Anyone care to give the latest college baseball update?

Baylor is really good. A&M is really good. TCU is really average...although they just snapped an 8-game wining streak. They've hit almost .325 as a team over the last 15 games but are still near the bottom in the country for the entire season. I have applied for the hitting instructor position. That's what my interview is.

Ags defeated TCU 4-1 the other night. TCU was brought back to earth at the plate against a kid with a 6+ ERA. They took a 1-0 lead to the 8th with exactly 2 hits/baserunners. Witte had a solo blast and a single. The Ags drove home 2 in the 8th and tacked on 2 more in the 9th. The umpiring was pretty bad and both teams got screwed on some potentially crucial calls. I think A&M got screwed more than we did. That's just the way baseball go.

Combination of playing like the Rangers and running into a team that suddenly thinks they are the '76 Yankees. College baseball is by far the craziest sport and this weekend proved it. I have no idea who those guys are in TCU uniforms but I like what I see right now. Yesterday I was ready to declare them dead in the 5th against Dayton and today I'm thinking they may be a team of destiny. I've never seen a turnaround like this before. They're finally playing like a preseason #10 team.
Kind of ironic that A&M's Big 12 life was ended by the team taking their place. A&M's entire 2011-2012 athletic year was an epic fail.

Baylor experienced a meltdown in Supers that rivaled their loss to UNLV several years ago. Last night's decision to pinchhit a pitcher with only 6 ABs all year for your SS was the dumbest baseball move I've seen in years.

Don't forget the night before they had 2 outs in the ninth, up by one. Load the bases on an error and walks. Then hit a batter to tie the game. New pitcher comes in and plunks the next guy. Game over. TCU has lost several games that way the last two years but never in that big of a moment. Those two losses were epic.

That's what I was talking about. After an 8-1 game one, I thought it was all but over. Guess Baylor just isn't cut out for it.
