Now it's being reported that there are reports that the SEC has put the invite on pause until the Baylor lawsuit is settled. WTF is going on here?

Who fakkin knows Stubbs. I think it's all way too confusing anyways.
You know something is up when they are reporting about reports of something.

I don't understand why the SEC doesn't threaten to sue the Big 12? Bebe and Ark AD have both verified that the Big 12 has asked AR to join. Seems like tampering by the Big 12 to me.
Oh I forgot, the SEC is not composed of a bunch of lawyered-up little bitches.

The SEC has handled all this with all the class in the world. The Big 12 looks like a bunch of crying babies. First they get a letter together stating they won't stand in the way, then they put it all on Baylor to rescind their approval. I heard the musers talking about it this morning, and Craig made some good points about the Texas schools (led by UT) basically bringing down the SWC, and now killing the old Big8 (now the Big 12).
Why doesn't the Big 12 just disband, and save some face. Let everyone fend for themselves and see where everyone ends up? That'll solve a lot of problems here.

Wait a minute, wait a minute. Class and the SEC are like oil and water. They aren't completely innocent in this thing but they are far, far from being the bad guy.

A Waco TV station almost rolled with a story last night that said Baylor made a proposal to the SEC to sign the waiver which included, among other things, the SEC would take WVU as their 14th member. This gets better and better. Among candidates WVU ranks about 10th.

The remaining B12 North schools are just posturing until they can work out a landing spot with the Big East. KU has interest from the Pac# and Missou could be courted by the SEC or B10. Once that gets straightened out they'll sign the waivers and Baylor will be left holding a map with no compass. I hear they are talking to the SLC but McNeese State is filing suit.

I've been hearing a whole lot about WVU being #14 lately. Not as far fetched as you might think, although there are much better choices.
The SEC is starting to look a little silly here, as well. They are letting BAYLOR hold them hostage.

I see it the other way. A&M is letting Baylor hold them hostage. The SEC said all along, they would extend an invite to A&M, if all Big 12 institutions would agree to no litigation. That puts the ball in A&M's court to make sure their current conference buddies agree to let them go. A&M and Baylor need to work this out, not SEC and Baylor.

Several things hampering WVU:
Seven football schools and potentially 18 in total suing WVU and the SEC. Don't think the SEC wants to deal with more BS.
The BE schools must give a 27 month notice prior to leaving. The earliest WVU can play in the SEC is 2014.
WV has a total population of 1.7M. If it's about TV sets they bring little.
