Still have a hard time believing any major conferece would want Tech, much less the Pac-12. So here's my rundown of the new BigXII:
Baylor and Tech will be the anchors.
West Division: Tech UTEP UNM Texas State Rice UH
East: Baylor SMU UNT UTSA ULaLa ULaMon
Bam...that's the new Bad Ass Conference.
The West gets the Houston schools for recruiting and the East gets DFW. You have built-in cross-division rivalry games that are played every year. TT/BU. TSU/UTSA. UNT/Rice. SMU/UH. And then you have to manufacture a rivalry with UNM/UTEP/and the directional Las. In the grand scheme of things it's pretty spare but I think the students and alums will like it. TT and BU might not be happy but they may not have a choice and in this conference they'd have every opportunity to be the bell cows.

Tech will go to the PAC if Texas does.
TCU is the one who better start looking... the Big East is not going to exist in a few years.

I just have a hard time thinking the Pac 12 presidents will accept both OSU and Tech. It's bad enough they already have the Arizona schools which they look at as inferior institutions (ASU especially) so I can see a lot of resistance to Tech. Even though they have a hard-line stance against religious institutions I'd see them wanting to push hard for BYU instead of Tech. Tech brings absolutely nothing to the table and they aren't joined at the hip with Texas like OU and OSU. Texas will look out for themselves. They could care less about TT.
The Big East will be fine. They have the NY/NJ market. Chicago, DFW, Pittsburgh, the Northeast. They need to go hard after BC and Maryland is a better fit with the BE than with the ACC. I'm more and more convinced that ND will stay independent in football. They absolutely love the Big East and their President has been one of the leaders in their expansion push. He was the one that made the podium introduction of TCU in their announcement. Either the Big East or the ACC will fall on the sword. ESPN will try like hell to keep the ACC alive but the Big East is negotiating a new TV contract with ESPN and NBC which will be much more than what the ACC gets. The Big East may lose Syracuse and Pittsburgh to the B10 but I don't think they'll lose any to the ACC.

I saw they held it up with a threat of legal action last night. WTF? Mama bear, Ann Richards, isn't around to protect her cub this time around. This only delays the inevitable. Get out of the way, Baylor. The Mountain will accept you to replace TCU in 2012.

If they haven't buried her yet can they slip this $25 gift card into the casket?
If you want a good laugh go to baylorfans.com. Those folks are in full panic mode and completely delusional. Many think that their win over TCU justifies their place in a BCS conference. Guess what? TCU aint even BCS yet. You know they are about to crap their pants if they haven't already. If you've never seen a longhorn breastfeed a bear you have now.
If this whole thing leads to a playoff I think you'll see the mid majors get 1 auto-bid. The WAC will dissolve into the MWC, SBC, and CUSA. Those three along with the MAC will have a 4-team playoff made up of conference winners. Can you imagine playing 15 games just to get into a playoff? That's insane.

BTW, TTU better beware too. Several P12 schools have petitioned for Kansas and have expressed interest in Missouri before TTU.
For the record, I think 16-team conferences suck and will ruin the sport. Twelve is a perfect #. 14 isn't bad but 16 sucks.

I would like to thank the Big 12 for "reaching out" to Arkansas during this time of need. I'm sure we'll get right back to you.
Welcome Aggies to the SEC!

Yes, he has a reoccurring role in a Cowboy's Super Bowl highlight.
