OSU President said TCU, BYU, UH, AFA, and Utah are potential targets. you quoted the head coach. Where does the president say anything about it? They're the ones with the votes. At least an AD or something. A head coach has nothing at all to do with this process. No president quoted in any of that. Just like I thought. Boone Pickens doesn't have a clue what he's talking about either. They want to stay at 10 because there are NO BIG TIME SCHOOLS THAT BRING VALUE TO THE LEAGUE! How is that so freaking hard for you to understand?? TCU BRINGS NOTHING in the eyes of the AD's and presidents. No extra money, nothing. No fans, no viewers, nothing. Its not about the bottom line? That rivals your mile long list for the stupidest thing you've ever said. Its ALL about the bottom line. They'll add Louisville or TCU to make it ten but won't add anymore because it would make it even more of a joke league. No good program wants to go to the Big 12. None. The best you can do is a school with 10 years of football history, and one of the worst basketball programs in the country (tcu) or someone that can play basketball and sucks at football. Neither bring fans or viewers or any excitement outside of their cities. For the life of me I cannot understand why you don't see that. Why do you think everyone with half a hand to play is RUNNING from this league?

At this point they need stability. A 10 team conference doesn't provide that because of what everyone else is doing outside of the BigIX.

Neither does tier two or three programs.
Anyways, the ones in control aren't worried about stability and the ones who aren't going to vote to take less money. I think they'll stick with ten unless they can find three legit candidates, which they won't.
Will tcu be the tenth? They're about 4th on the list, but I wouldn't be surprised. U of h is a much better choice and would jump at the chance.

Still waiting on quotes from the presidents about how they'd like to add tcu. I could be wrong, it might exist. But I've heard nothing about that.

Nope, Stubbs still making ridiculous assertions and backing them up with speculation and made up facts.

Woahhhhhhhh, did the wife unlock the computer for you? She thinks y'all are a bad influence on me, we compromised and I can now get on the board once a week under her supervision.

I don't have time to dig up all the links. The KS Star mentioned it the other day when it was announced that Mizzou will stay. The Gundy comments also involved their AD. Stoops made a comment the other day. Boren's son went to TCU and is an OK congressman. I think the only resistance from the north is from the KS schools and ISU who wouldn't want one of the OK schools to possibly move to their division. I know Chip Brown says a lot of BS but this is the most definitive thing I've seen him say on the matter. This comes only a few days after him reporting that TCU has no chance b/c of UT's influence. We're seeing a power play take place. Texas wants their 12 pounder and their network. I think 8 other schools have had enough and said you can have one or the other...but you can't have both. texas.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1269088

Figured you might get too busy. Kinda convenient, don't you think?
In related news, word out of the big 12 ad meeting tonight is that tcu made the short list... And the ones in front aren't really fired up about the big 12.

Its strange for you to hate on Stubbs for saying B12 schools wanted TCU and then in the next sentence say that they want TCU.
