They'll go after TU and A&M. Neither will take it. CU is a definate and Utah will be the final piece of the puzzle. OU and OSU are staying right where they are. Someone from the Fan must be a TTU homer.

TU and A&M are staying right where they are. The B12 will lose 3 in the north and add TCU, BYU, and one other team not from Texas...possibly another MWC team but I can't think of anyone other than AFA who would be a good fit. CSU has a weak athletic program and the academics aren't that great. Wyoming is a negative as is UNM. Boise is a JUCO. Air Force is the only team I can think of unless they want to wait for UTSA to go D-1.

If the Pac 10 can put together a TV network that will pay the teams $20M each; the Big 12 as it stands now will be done.

The two conferences agreed to a joint TV agreement recently. Not sure what the details are but I think the B12's deal with FSN runs for another two years. I think a Pac-10/B12 network would be pretty cool. Not sure how the SEC network makes so much money since it's essentially a regional network and lacks continuous programming.

That is factual that someone from the Pac-10 said that those 6 from the Big12 are being invited. Whether who goes is a different question. I did hear that about the Aggie going to the SEC too.

Aggie is not going to the SEC. TU and A&M are a package deal and there's no way the Whorns are going to be 4th or 5th banana to anyone.
The PAC-10 may offer to Tech but once TU declines they'll say "well, you know, that whole invite thing wasn't a true invite..."
Utah will go before TTU does. They fit geographically and academically. Utah and CU will complete the Pac-12. No one else will go.

When asked about Baylor's omission from the invite Ann Richards said "OVER MY DEAD BODY!"

Aggie would do well to seperate from that bunch in Austin. Going to the SEC would be the best thing that happened to them since Jackie Sherril closed up his car dealership and extemely low interest loan service center for student/athletes.

Now that's funny right there. Even though I know it won't happen, I agree separating from tu and going to the SEC would be great for Texas A&M. Honestly I wish we could just move the whole town of Austin to the west coast and be done with them. They would fit in much better over there any way.

I heard an interesting scenario yesterday:
Ags, sips, Clemson, and Ga. Tech join the SEC.
The SEC has 16 teams and forms 4 divisions:
Ags, LSU, sips, and Arkansas
Bama, Auburn, Tenn, and Ga.
Florida, S. Carolina, Clemson, and Ga. Tech
Each team plays the other three in their division and each year you play another division as well, rotating it every 2 years.
Then after your 4 non conference games, and your 7 conference games, you take the winners of each division, seed them, and have a "semifinal" for your conference championships, with the winner going to the SEC title game.
The rest of the teams would be seeded and play each other i.e. West division #2 will play East Division #2.
Think of the TV event those semifinal games would be. It'd be like the NFL playoff games.

Clemson will never be allowed back into the SEC. After giving them the finger about 20 years ago the SEC would love few things more than to stick it to Clemson for eternity.
Fischer, I thought of that scenario a few weeks ago when discussing with some co-workers but I couldn't quite get it to work. I didn't think of the semi-final game. That might just work...in fact, that's the only way a 16-team football conference will work. Remember when the WAC had 16 teams? That was a flippin' mess.
