That's why I don't do twitter, I wouldn't have a serious post on there and I might get drunk and pull a Mike Bacsik.

Well, I ran the 5K today in Dallas. My time was 24.52. I broke the 24 mark on a treadmill this week so thought I'd do better, but there was a hill at the end that was a bitch. About the last half mile was all uphill. Either way, I got second in my age group. They gave me a nice little glass trophy/plaque.

Here are the official results. 47/258 overall. My age class was pretty weak on the times, but hey, I got a trophy. www.texashalf.com/results.htm10 or so secs faster would have won the age class for me. I had nothing left at the end though.

This makes me want to start running. I thought for sure there was no way we could get top 3. Good job Sully you are an inspiration to me, let me know your next one. Warrior Dash anyone? yet? no?

Here are a couple of pics. I'd post the ones of me running up to the finish line, but I look like a red-faced fat man strugg-a-ling to make it. My hardware on the mantle. Right next to my Lone Star Angler of the Year trophy.

Why don't they just call it a 2.5k? They don't call a 5k a half 10k do they?

Because it was a 5k.
The Texas Half is a half marathon. They had a 5k for those of us who can't run the half marathon.

It says "The Texas Half 5k." That doesn't mean it's only 2.5k? I'm lost...

You are making this more difficult than it has to be.
