I heard Texas State and UTSA are going to go to the WAC.
This is a terrible move for TCU.

Stubbs you have been doing a lot of false advertising on here lately. BE and WAC? I want some answers!

I guess my sarcasm was lost. UNT has declined repeated invites from the WAC over the years. TCU would NEVER, EVER, NO, NO, NO, NEVER go back to the WAC. Karl Benson is more delusional than a cententarian with Alzheimer's and Assburgers. He is an idiot and how he still has his job is beyond me. He and Dan Beebe are brokeback conference commissioners. Besides, I think there's an NCAA rule that a team can't be an FBS football member of conference A and have their other sports in conference B if conference B sponsors FBS football.

So the big east deal with TCU is official. Thoughts?

Interesting. Going to make it even more difficult than it already was to get any fans to travel. It will be good to see some change and new "conference shake ups." They have pretty much wrote themselves into the last place slot in basketball. It may help bball recruiting in the long run cause of the conference but they will struggle for a long time. What kind of baseball does the Big East have?

I think it was a move they had to make. Its an automatic qualifier in football, albeit in a very weak conference, and will give them a shot to compete for a national title.

Football is the only thing that makes money. So everything else takes a back seat.
I am sure TCU's basketball program will end up in better shape because of this move, too.

Actually, it will make travel much easier. FWIW, the average distance isn't much longer than it is right now. The difference is minimal. What will help is direct airports such as Pitt, Cincy, Orlando, NYC, and Louisville. To go to Laramie they have to fly into Casper and take a bus. Same thing with Fort Collins. Getting a charter flight to Colorado Springs gets expensive. When going to Provo they have to charter a bus from SLC. If they were to stay they'd end up having to fly into Boise. Direct flights to Boise are few and far between and expensive. Same with Reno. It will be much easier on the travel budget in the BE. WVU and Syracuse are the only schools that present an inconvenience with the travel.

Well I was talking about fan travel but either way. It will make flying easier I suppose. But driving is out of the question for any game.

Congrats to TCU on the new conference. I sure didn't think TCu would get the Big East to accept them in all sports. Seems TCU is actually leaving a tougher conference for an easy route (they think) to an AQ in the BCS.
I find it interesting to see that the president of the conference is from a school (ND) that doesn't think the conference is good enough for his football team.
