Patterson is in Bristol in order to pimp up the Frogs for BCS points just like Mack Brown used to do. He knows that with only powerhouse New Mexico remaining on his schedule and Utah dropping like a rock, there is no way to keep Boise from passing them in the BCS poll. GP is going to kiss some world wide leader ass.

Does TCU running to the Big East have anything to do with Boise State entering the MWC?
Now that is interesting?

I think it does.
I agree, GP in Bristol has NOTHING to do with the Big East and everything to do with realizing his team is going to be playing in the Poulan Weedeater Bowl.

Does TCU running to the Big East have anything to do with Boise State entering the MWC? Now that is interesting? It has absolutely nothing to do with BSU. It's all about $$. In a perfect world we'd love to stay in the MWC but there's no guarantee they'll get an auto-bid in 2014. It's not a risk worth taking. I'd love to have a rivalry with BSU but it's not meant to be. TCU's take-home from the Fiesta Bowl was about half of what it would have been if they were in an auto-bid conference. It's always been and always will be about $$.

that and them knowing that they would no longer be able to win that non automatic qualifying conference anymore.

No, I'm serious.
Boise, Hawaii, possibly UH, Air Force, San Diego State, are all teams that could and would beat tcu on occasion.

GP made the rounds but he'll never stoop to the level of those sons of bitches.

Wait a damn minute here Stubbs. One minute you're telling us the Big East won't have a BCS spot in 2-3 years and the next you're telling us this is a great move for TCU to take advantage of the BCS spot. WTF?
Talk about contradicting yourself.

I've said it before...take the money while it's there. Even if it has it's bid taken away at least they have 2-3 years of BCS money. The BE has 1000X better chance at keeping their bid than the MWC does of getting one anyway. I think the EC media pressure wouldn't allow it to happen anyway. Also, whether it's true or not, the media and voters persceive the BE as a better conference than the MWC. If TCU were in the BE right now there'd be almost no question that they'd be next in line if Auburn or Oregon lose. As it is, we have to seee if a 1-loss team jumps both or if TCU or BSU gets the nod.

Oh man, just heard GP blame the Fiesta Bowl loss on "loosing the headsets". Man, I thought ole Houston was the master of excuses.
