They are waiting until they beat up on an obviously outmatched Arkansas squad. Arkansas was listed as the most disapointing team in college football.

No they weren't Mike.
Actually, the Fan is awesome for listening to games. It keeps the crap they spew at other times out of my ears. Also their reception is great.

If a bear craps in the woods but no one is around does it make a sound?
They do have a great signal, though. Mexican druglords are now fans of Los Aggies.

People listen to it for games, its their normal programming that no one listens to.

Their norm programming is so bad. I love when Mike will take obvious shots at them by encouraging listeners to call in and tell them if they thing the Cowboys should when the Super Bowl this year.

TCU to the Big Least: m.nypost.com/p/sports/college/football/big_east_has_interest_in_tcu_6GTZTxC9I2fssdAib7x6KKWould be a tough decision...the travel isn't that much more than in the MWC. You'd get into an auto-bid conference that is on life support more than the BXII. Do you hang around an wait to see if the MWC gets an auto-bid in two years or take the auto-bid that might not be there in two years? One thing for sure is that we'd fear for the safety of our basketball players.

That is an interesting prospect for sure. At this point in time I think it makes sense for both parties. TCU gets in a auto bid conference and the Big East gets a strong football team and some small access to Texas recruits. But with all the uncertainty out there I would be very hesitant to make any kind of move on either side. Definitely something to keep an eye on though.

villanova has a football team? I would consider deleting that comment before Howie Long's wife comes and threatens to kick your ass.

If the B10 picks off Syracuse and Rutgers. The ACC takes WVU, Pitt, and possibly UCONN. That leaves Cincy, LV, South Florida, and TCU? I would think that there will have to be another team to add in addition to 'Nova. Possibly SMU? If the BX disolves as expected Missou, KSU, KU, and ISU could be seen as targets. I've heard the Big East rumors for a couple years but never really took any stock in it until now...even still, it's from the New York Compost.

The more I think about it the more I think this will lead to the scenario I described a couple weeks ago.
The Big East will try like hell to hold on to what they have and add to it but once the Ags take that step towards the big southern dummies all the dominoes will fall.
The SEC will take one from the ACC. The ACC would probably want WVU but BC up there on the upper east coast will fight like hell to get UConn added to alleviate travel costs Pitt would help out in that regard as well. The ACC north (Atlantic) would be BC, UConn, PItt, WVU, UVA, and MD. The Coastal division would be the rest.
Syracuse and Rutgers would be targets of the Big 10.
That would leave Cincy, LV, South Fla, and TCU in what's left of the Big East. Add those 4 to what's left of the Big X(II[XII]) and you get back the Big XII. Switch South Fla with Memphis and there you have it.

UTSA and TSU to the WAC: www.mysanantonio.com/sports/UTSA_Texas_State_leaving_for_WAC_appears_imminent_104034314.html?c=y&page=1#storytopI say TCU takes the Big East bid. Why not? The BE pays 7M a year from TV money. The MWC pays about 1.5. It's an auto bid and you might end up getting a BCS game or two before the conferences realign again. The BE won't be the final destinatin but take the money while it's there. The MWC has been very good to us but the almighty dollar wins out in the end. I can mix in a Penguins game when they play Pitt and WVU. I can go visit family in Cincinnati.

In an interesting turn of events, Hawaii is going to the MWC in football only and the Big West in all other sports. This gives the conference 11 teams with Hawaii or 10 teams without TCU. Does this mean TCU has informed the conference they will be leaving or is the MWC trying to get to 12?
EDIT:
My spies in the athletic department have said TCU to the BE in all sports is a done deal. This, along with UH to MWC has all come down in the last hour. Gary Patterson was in Bristol all day...which isn't too far from the BE HQ in Providence.
