We saw 2 does as we got out of the stand last night.
Now I'm sitting on a wheat field. 13 does in range for a shot. 4 does just passed through the trees behind me, followed by a young 6 point and another buck I couldn't make out.

Last hunt of the season, and its been good. Surprising since its 38 degrees and 20 mph winds with gusts to 30 or so.
8 more does just walked into the field about 30 yds from me. Then a young 4 point walked up to the treeline at about 100 yds. They are all still here. 22 deer in the field.

I just eased down the treeline to get a view of a feeder nearby. 3 does at the feeder. I can see both spots from here so I'll stay here

2 bucks just came in and chased the 3 does off the feeder. First was a young 8 point with one tine broke off. The other was a pretty wide no-browtined 6 point I think. But his right main beam was broke about halfway down.
They goosed those does and the does were out. Got a few bites and took off behind em. Does are trickling out of the field now

Well, all the deer left the field and feeder is done too. Just walked back to the truck and scared up 2 more does. I'm driving over to the other side of the place to sit in the stand a minute.

In the stand but all that's here is five fat squirrels eating corn. Wind keeps picking up and that's been the story of my damn season. Wind, wind, wind. I'm pulling the plug on this season. 30 plus sits this year. Over 90 hrs in the field. No buck. Gotta make some damn corrections for next year.
Its been fun.
