Generally you do, but GP has expressed his contempt for the way some schools have handled coaching changes, such as how KSU handled Prince, and probably didn't have much desire anyway. In his position, you always listen; and he has. He probably went into the interview 1)with little desire to coach there because of how they treated Tommy T and 2)probably knowing he wouldn't be offered the job anyway.

If he has such a big problem with it, then you should be happy. He will be at TCU until they do that to him.
That's how the business works. It happens at every school in America. None are immune to it.

He has at least a 10 year grace period. You do realize that TCU has won more games in the last 10 years than it did in the 70s and 80s combined, don't you?

Please, if he went 16-20 over the next three years you would be calling for his head. There is not a coach in the nation that has a ten year grace period.

I hope he's a lifer. He could have left if he wanted to. He's looking for the right spot. Until he finds it he'll be hitching his pants up and tying his laces on the west sideline of AGCS.

I really do think that he is a bad interview. That is part of it.

Maybe. But I really don't think how someone interviews should sway a decision either way. Look at his record. Look what his players, esp. former players have said. Look at the players he recruits and look what they turn into. Look at how recruiting has progressed. Look at how facilities have improved under him. Look at how the team has progressed under him. Look at what the fan base thinks of him. This goes for all coaches. I guess in interviews you can uncover differences in philosophies but getting a job based on how well you interview is how snakes like Petrino get jobs.
