I'm not believing yet. Rivals is notorious for bad reporting. I haven't seen anything on the wires or ESPN. Until then, it's a rumor. However, if it's true...good ridance. If you're going to negotiate a contract before the year is over the week of probably the biggest game in your school's history then get the hell out. You're nothing but scum just like Petrino. We lost out on millions and national respect last night.

If he did it after the regular season, that's one thing but to do this right now would be worse than what Fran ever did.

One of the guys that runs the TCU board works for the agency that represents GP. He says that there is no truth to the report of the hire. Didn't deny talking-probably can't talk about that but he said that it is simply not true that K-State has hired GP at this time.

Media outlets are now backing down from the reports. Internal email from coaches' office says the rumor is false.
He's on 103.3 denying the rumors.

You're nothing but scum just like Petrino. Wow. Just wow. Link has been removed. K-State probably backed out of the deal after seeing Patterson choke in another "big game" (if you can really have a big game in a mid major conference). As for TCU losing national respect, it is impossible to lose something you haven't had since 1940. I am done with my coddling of TCU. The gloves are off.

I didn't say we had any. I said we missed out on it. Actually, to get to #11 you have to have some respect and I think our ranking was accurate...but my point was that we'd be seen as a legit BCS team had we won.

The ranking wasn't accurate. I think there are 20-25 teams that would beat tcu and utah.

I would like to remove my name for the coaching position at TCU. I need to go to a team with a little more prestige.
