Ags will go to the texas or independence bowl won't they?
Could this ever happen?? Ags fire fran, hire spurrier, play SC in the independence bowl. SS would be competing against his old team. that would be weird wouldn't it.

I think ATM would make it to a higher choice bowl than Independence. That would be for Colorado/Nebraska...something like that.

If A&M beats tu then maybe, but if not they will be 6-6 and will go to the crappiest Big 12 bowl.

I say everything after New Years is legitimate. So you're counting the New Orleans Bowl on Dec. 17 2008 as legit?

Well, a 7-5 record was never in doubt...even after a 17-0 early deficit last night. The Frogs went out and tied a D-1 record of running 111 plays and broke a school record with 39 first downs. They held the ball for just shy of 40 minutes an racked up 694 yards of total offense. They still had some stupid turnovers, just a few stupid play calls, and gave up a couple big plays on defense that kept SDSU in the game but they had their first penalty-free game since 1971 and it was enough to pull out the win. Houston has already accepted a bid to the Houston Bowl and it looks like no matter what happens in the Big XII title game, the conference will have 2 BCS teams leaving a spot open in the Houston Bowl for the Frogs. If, somehow, they only get one team, it will be the New Mexico Bowl for the Frogs against either Nevada or Fresno State.
I'm not sure which I'd rather have. I'm not too crazy about a matchup with Houston and not because I'm afraid we'd lose. I just would rather have a better opponent. They've had some great battles in the past but Houston doesn't do anything for me. TCU does a great job of recruiting in Houston but the game is on the NFL Network and will get very poor ratings. On the other hand, I'm not too crazy about the New Mexico Bowl but I think FSU is a better opponent judging by their 10 year history and the game will be on ESPN2. Also, a TB matchup will have about a 1/2 empty house. The NMB will provide a better atmosphere. The Old 97s will be playing before the TB. I'm on the fence and I guess if I'm thinking long-term, I'd have to lean towards the TB because of the recruiting aspect. Either way, I'm staying home.

Houston will beat TCU. Mark it down now, if they play, Houston will win the ball game.
