He makes it sound like this is what they wanted. Seriously, what other choices were there? We've gone over this. BYU was probably their first choice but they can't tell their rear end from Joseph Smith. I guess they should have gone after the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys instead.

In light of recent developments, I'd say TCU will be fortunate to win 6 games next year.

Never said anything about choices or better options. I don't know where you are getting that. Just stating what happened

So what's up with the SEC not allowing students to sit behind visiting benches between the 30s for the first 25 rows? I thought they were the big boys and could take on anything? Did a few thousand people with the worst season tickets at Kyle Field just get a huge upgrade? I don't see what the big deal is. Old ladies in Baton Rouge are just as likely to throw a glass bottle at the opposing bench that students are.

Ags don't like change. That's why it took us so long to defect from the big 12

No, I mean what's the big deal on the SEC's part? I can understand why A&M was annoyed by it.

Because students are worse than alumni in their treatment of opposing teams. Things were being thrown at players, etc.
I'm with you, I think some of the regular fans are worse than most students. But I guess that's not how they see it.
In this move, the Ags will actually gain 1400 student seats to add to the largest student section in the country.

How does that work?
I knew a guy that played at Tennessee and he said the old ladies were the ones you had to watch out for.

In the SEC, football belongs to the masses, not just the students or alumni. The student section is a minor part of the production.

That still doesn't answer the question. Do they think students are more dangerous than the backwoods meth head that works six weeks a years killing gators and saves every penny he can from his disability checks to fork over 1000s of dollars a year for season tickets and parking? Who do you think is more invested?

Can't wait to get you to Kyle Field. The students are way more than a minor part of the production. They may be minor at that little ball field the piggies play in, but within the realms of one of the greatest football environments in the country, they are integral

I said in the SEC, a situation that the Aggie has no experience (except for losing in bowl games and neutral site stadiums).
newbies.

The conference as a whole doesn't get to determine the atmosphere of individual stadiums.
The student section at an A&M game makes the stadium the loudest in America. That part of transitioning to the SEC is to our advantage.
If only we didn't suck.
