This is really weird. Looks like Chuck Greenberg will be resigning from the Rangers. I wonder what the real story is here. Looks like he and Nolan got sideways.

I thought he is resigning as CEO and will still be a part owner. But I may be wrong. It's been a weird morning.

That's weird. I liked the guy. He is definately a better speaker for the club than Nolan.

His interest is being bought out by the rest of the group. Rumor is that he tried to get into the MY trade talks and tried something to devalue his contract which would have constituted a grievance filed by the MLBPA and the organization would have been in major hot water. Fines. Loss of draft picks. Hot dogs couldn't be sold at the ballpark. Season ticket holders would have to be executed. Ugly situation.

Serious question:
Why do you feel he was a better speaker for the club than Nolan?

That's weird. I liked the guy. He is definately a better speaker for the club than Nolan. Hour and thirty-five minutes later it's still here. I guess he stands by his statement.

I am just wondering why he thinks that.

I'm definately in the minority here, but I want the voice of the club to be a good speaker. Well educated, or at least very convincing. Even if they were absolutely wrong, as long as people are afraid to disagree, he's got serious credibility.
With Nolan, he just sounds so unassuming, and clueless at times. It would be like making me the voice of the club, rather than Finch. Give me Finch.

That doesn't mean I don't like Nolan. He's good for the club, knows baseball from what we can tell, and has got a lot more locals interested in the team. But, Greenberg was a better voice.

Well we can't have the voice of the club dropping an F Bomb every 4th word. Finch is out.

Actually, we could. The loudest and most abrasive is right 9/10 times because others are afraid to dispute it. It works. I'm telling you, it works.
