I disagree. Barnett is good on the radio, and Lewin never beat me down. He made some really, really bad baseball games at least bearable to watch.

You can figure out the result of the play by listening to the crowd because Barnett is so far behind in his call. His words are always so slow and drawn out its hard for him to call a fast moving play. Its tough to be on the same airwaves as EN cause he is the best.
You are telling me that all of the "Cookie Lady" talk didn't beat you down at all?

Horrible mistake by Nolan Ryan in firing Lewin and hiring Rhads in the first place. The big leagues are no place for on the job training. I have no problem with Dave Barnett and I LOVE cookie talk. Baseball is a talking sport and when things get slow cookie talk is as good an off field subject as any. Plus it keeps the old folks happy and the old is a significant demographic in baseball. My 75 year old sainted mother in Arkansas NEVER misses a Ranger broadcast.
Am I the only one picking up on Framps personal vendetta against Dave Barnett?

I just disliked his work on the radio. When he has been on tv I liked him alright.

I know and can respect a personal vendetta when I see one.

Craig is right...his radio calls are a bit slow at times. It reminds me of listening to Dave South. You're like "just tell me what happened." But when he gets it right he does a great call. Maybe he gets better monitors to work off of in the TV booth. Rhads is a good guy and I hate that he was put in this situation. The Highway 6 Con Man should feel bad.

Well the thing about TV is his call doesn't need to be as good cause we can see it. The great thing about EN is that he is so descriptive it almost seems as if you can visualize what exactly is happening. With DB it is hard to follow much of the time. On tv I can see what is happening so his calls don't bug me as much.

I often expected Barnett to say "the in-vi-taaaaaaashun...." But for the most part I like him. He and Eric are often Brutally honest and I hope the Rangers down squash that part of his call...but they probably will.

I am feeling another great June from the Rangers. They are about to get hot.
I am out on Holland by the way. He has no composure. Once he gets in any sort of trouble he loses it. I dont think he will be in the rotation by the end of the year.

Also: It is so great having Beltre at third. I can't tell you how many times he has made plays that MY wouldn't have made. Its the plays like that that will halt rallies or prevent them. Him at third will definitely put more wins on the board than had MY stayed there.

A lot of suggestions on trading for some relief pitching in the NR this morning. Mentions of Borbon and Murphy as possibilities. I say hurry up.

Good e-brake last night between Rhads, TAG, and Barnett. Rhads was teasing the post game show from the desk along the 3rd base line and said something to the effect "I dreamed I was living the dream and then I woke up and I'm here at this desk." TAG and DB layed out for about 5 seconds.
