Its going to come down to whether he really likes Texas and wants to play here. There is no way he will make more money here. He wants to stay in Texas. If he wanted to go to ny, he would have signed by now. It's up to Texas to make the $ work,

I think he wants to stay in Texas, he's just waiting to see if either offer increases. I think both teams have done all they're gonna do and we'll see a decision tomorrow.

Meh. This offseason has fallen flat for us.
Where did Philly come from? Guess that in-place staff was just too attractive. Cliff can't handle being a number 1.

It doesn't have anything to do with him being number one.
He doesn't think the Rangers can win. He knows Philly can. He wants rings.

I hate to see him go, but I'm ok with it now.
Thanks to Cliff Lee for the run this fall. Without him, we would have been out in the Division Series.
Now, let's move forward. One thing these developments proved is that our new ownership is committing to bringing talent in here. There's not much attractive pitching out there this year, aside from the trade market. But we need to go find the next number 1 starter and go get him.

I think we need to get Garza. Greinke worries me.
I have no hard feelings for Cliff Lee. He did what he was brought here to do. I thank him for it.
I agree that our new ownership has proven their commitment to winning and bringing in top notch guys to get that done. I also think they have shown an ability to develop and evaluate talent.
I think this team will be fun to watch for years to come.

I think the #2 thing has some merit but it wasn't the deciding factor. He was obviously uncomfortable with the attention he received here. Norm's going off on a guy right now who thinks the same thing but I think there is something to it.
Honestly, I think it's the best thing for him. This had Millwood written all over it if he came here. Stay hard Cliff Lee!

Garza will be more expensive than Greinke in a trade. It was a better day when they were pathetic losers and I had no expectations...

I also heard today that Lee's son has Leukemia and Philly has the best hospital for that (CCHOP) and they have gone there before. So moving his family there might have something to do with care for his son. Either way I ave no hard feelings towards him and I think that fans that do aren't really fans of baseball and do not understand how it works. This isn't ARod. I've heard nothing but good things about Lee. I also heard last night that when he decided on Philly his agent called Cashman to tell them they were out, but Lee called Daniels to let him know. It probably doesn't mean much but it might show he cared more for the Rangers than the Yanks (or it may mean nothing at all).
