We were sitting on her bed lastnight and she was reading me the Princess and the Frog. In the middle of a sentence, she turns to me and says "Daddy, what time are we leaving Saturday?" I say "5:00 am" She says " Do they sell donuts and Coffee that early? Because i'm gonna need some"
I thought that was hilariously random. The kid is funny.

Good job, getting her out in the field. Maybe you can rattle something in to you.

I've determined through much life experience that being a solid farkler is key to getting things done.

Romantic. Yeah.
I'm in the stand. Its a little early. Here are the conditions. 65 degrees or so. Clear sky. SSE wind at ohhh 20-35 mph. This may not go well. I'm at the stand we call the cut, located up on a ridge. Down below me about 75 yards is a feeder. Drop off of about 30-40 feet. Then it climbs back up eye level about 200 yards across. The cut is a low creekbed or runoff, and a main road of passage from the neighbors to our place. I get service from here, unlike the spot I was last weekend. I will keep you updated.

This is Fischer, reporting to you live from a little spot called the HEX. The wind is gale force and swirling. Might be a little slow over here this am.
