About what? It's all I can think about, Saturday morning needs to hurry the f up. I'm with ya Finch. I had my gear pulled, inventoried, and prepped for use a month ago ! This little cold snap and rain we've had this week could be very advantageous for me. If the bottoms get flooded on the Trinity, it makes for real easy hunting on the high crossing spots. That's probably what I'll do when I go scout on Friday, is find me a high spot with good tracks in it, and just plop down right there. Good luck to you all. You will experience the endorphine rush soon enough. |

Packing up the truck and heading out to the lease in about an hour or so, can't wait for sunrise Saturday morning. It'll also be fun to post what's going on in the stand on this thread and go back and read it at the end of the year.

I cannot even get close to the Federal Refuge with a rifle until Sat morning at 5am.

1 day til opening of gun season...and an early wake-up.
I'm there. Believe it or not, this will only be my second time ever to be in the stand on opening morning. I'm pumped about it. Although I'll only be there for the morning, it's pretty freaking exciting. Should be a lot of action in here all weekend.

 This is the satty view of where I'll be in the morning. Yellow is the walkway or 4 wheeler trail if you have one, around the Refuge. I might have to get my walk on just a bit to get to where I want to be. The place is 2600 acres. |

Well, it's finally here. Just climbed in the stand and I'm waiting for first light. It's a little cold, but not too bad. I got beer, smokes, and seeds, should be a good day.

Had my first doe in the pen, but she just grabbed a quick bite and moved on
