TCU played hard. that loss was a tough one, buddy. TU will NOT win the series. I will be surprised if they win more than 2 games. Even if they are in the easiest bracket. True that. They were easily beatable in this series. They didn't strike me as the best team in the land. I think at least half of the other teams in the CWS would have handed them their asses in Supers. My money is on Fullerton (who TCU beat 2 of 3 earlier in the year and gave away the other game). I don't know what their final RPI was but they were near the top for most of the year. Here's the tourney teams they played that I can remember: UC Irvine (conference) TCU Southern Miss (swept them) ASU Okie Lite A&M SDSU Oral Roberts Cal Poly And had wins over traditionally tough programs like: USC Arizona Stanford Long Beach Pepperdine UCLA They had a tough schedule and did pretty good. They are tested and I think they have what it takes to win it all. My 2nd and 3rd choices are LSU and ASU, respectively.

What team was it that refused to shake hands with the other team after getting beat in the CWS a few years ago?

It would be so sweet to eliminate those whiny little biotches.

Did you see Keyes talking smack after the HR last night? That was totally classless. I was hoping he'd get plunked the next time at bat...he should have been b/c he cranked one off the RF wall.

It was strike 3. Two runners on in the top of the first against the #1 team in their house when the guy was going deep into counts would have been a good start, especially with a double digit HR guy on deck. Who knows what could have happened but getting called out like that is defeating. That was one of those games where if they didn't set the tone early they wouldn't have a chance.

Then there's Matt Purke out of Spring Oak...Rivals' #1 player in the nation. Committed to TCU...I see his interest list and I don't see TAMU. ASU, UF, Stanford, Rice...no TCU. Was projected as a top 5 pic in June but is slipping to the late 1st because all indications are that he will enroll at TCU in the fall...yeah, we don't recruit the calibur players that you guys do... Well, all hopes of Purke playing in FTW next year were dashed around 6:30 yesterday. Great pick for the Rangers. There's no way they don't sign this kid. The Rangers and 'Stros were probably the only teams outside of the top 5 who could sign him. The TCU peeps need to stop drinking the Kool-aid...they think for some reason that he's still going to enroll. Aint no way that's happening now.

I try to be as objective as possible. Even Norm said that Texas was probably the only team that could sign him.

LSU is clearly the best team in the series. Arkansas is just lucky to there. We will be fortuante to score against the mighty Tigers.

Horns scored the winning run last night in the ninth without swinging the bat. 1 HBP and 3 walks.
