I don't care if it is smoke screens to make MY look like the bad guy. We have a proven 2B. Blalock is on his way out too, so Davis will be at 1st. MY can move to 3rd or move on. Rangers are sticking to the plan and developing a winner. Honestly, thanks to MY for giving us something to cheer for the past 5 years, but it's time to move on to bigger and better things to come. If he's not worth a pile of dog shit in this market, then why do you put him on such a pedestal. If they can't get a pile of dog dung for Young, then they can't get a pile of ant crap for Hank. No one is going to take him w/o eating 80% of the 5M he's getting this year. He needs to be on the field earning his money. Put him at 1st and move Davis to 3rd where he played in the minors and where he played pretty well once Hank came back at the end of the year.

I didn't say we would get anything for him. He's following the path of MY. Out of the organization one way or another.

Not that I care but does this really change anything for y'all. The Rangers will still suck with or without MY, they sucked long before he got there.

Also, what difference does it make what his salary is? Tom Hicks needs to stop being a cheap bastard. If they were to move his salary it would bring their payroll below 50M. Pathetic.

Doesn't his salary limit the number of teams that can afford him thus reducing the Rangers bargaining power?

Yes. More than likely this will be a A-rod type deal. Where Hicks will still be responsible for a portion.

It limits what other teams want to pay for him but how does that affect the Rangers? They make a TON of money despite what Tommy O. would like you to believe. I wish W. and Karl Rove would buy the team next Tuesday. How great would that be?

Either way. If he wants out, let him go.

I want Tom Hicks to open up his pocketbook like Jerry but I want him to be a fan like Donald Carter.

You want Tom Hicks to open a chain of bowling alleys?

More or less.
BTW...that's another brush with greatness I've had several times. Fischer may have met him a time or two as well.
