I don't put any stock in TCU, or its fans. Especially the fans.

Why did Michigan drop McGuffie? The couple games I saw when he got time he actually did pretty good. Had a 100 yard game I think or close. Does any know the reason for him leaving? I'll hang up now and listen.

the didn't drop him. He dropped them.
I think it had to do with his family.

I've heard two different stories.
One, he has a tough family life and wanted to move closer to home. Plus he hates the cold.
Two, he has off the field issues and Rich Rodriguez got tired of his crap. RR told McGuffie he would have a limited role next year so SM just asked for his walking papers.
These are just rumors so I'm sure there is more to the story, but I'm wondering why Sherman didn't even offer SM. He is a dang good athlete and would have counted against last years class. I'm guessing there has to be something going on behind the scenes that Sherman didn't like.

Come to find out, its not a done deal.
To clarify, he wouldn't count against ANY class, he would count only against the 85 man roster.
According to the stuff I have seen, he wasn't even supposed to talk to the Ag staff until today. So hopefully we will know more pretty soon.

I think both stories are true. A&M might be hesitant because of the concussions. He's a great athlete and even they don't get as many athletes like him as they used to, they still get their fair share. I'm not saying it's run of the mill or a dime a dozen but he'll surely have less competition at TCU or UH. Those teams would be more willing to take a chance on a kid like that.

that is true.
I think he will go to tceh if he doesn't get an A&M offer.

They'd probably use him in a Wes Welker-type roll.

Hell, they could probably turn him into Zach Thomas.

they will turn him into an Aggie Killer. That is what they always do with fast white guys that A&M shuns.

I have to offer a confession. Apparently the Loston thing on the TCU board was a joke that started a few months ago. I didn't read it for a few weeks during September/October. A troll came on and said TCU was in the running for Loston. Everyone laughed. He claimed it was true. Then the recruting guru mentioned there was interest as a joke. Me, missing the joke, thought he was serious but was extremely skeptical. Now it's an on-going joke that I just clued in on.
