Just for fun: Let's stack the two conferences together and take a look. If the teams were to play their counter part, what would happen? The only SEC schools that would win would be Miss. St, probably Tenn., and Vanderbilt. You may disagree with me, but there is no possible way you could say that the SEC would have a winning record vs the Big 12 this year. Big 12 vs.SEC Oklahoma (4) 12-1 Florida (2) 12-1 Florida Texas (3) 11-1 Alabama (1) 12-1 Texas tossup Texas Tech (8) 11-1 Georgia (17) 9-3 Georgia OklaState (14) 9-3 Mississ (22) 8-4 Okie Lite Missouri (19) 9-4 LSU 7-5 LSU Nebraska 8-4 South Carolina 7-5 South Carolina tossup Kansas 7-5 Kentucky 6-6 Kansas Colorado 5-7 Vanderbilt 6-6 VANdy Kansas State 5-7 Arkansas 5-7 Arkansas Baylor 4-8 Auburn 5-7 Baylor tossup Texas A&M 4-8 Tennessee 5-7 Tenn Iowa State 2-10 Mississippi St 4-8 MSU 8-4 SEC maybe 7-5.

The Big 12 wins 7-11 of those games.
There are not more than 5 possibles for the SEC.

LSU, Ark, Auburn, Tenn, MSU. B12 is stronger at the top and in the middle but the SEC wins the catfish matchups.

LSU??? haha, with that pourous defense and zero offense? they almost lost to troy. Arkansas - it would be a heck of a game. maybe. They suck pretty bad, though. Auburn- Not even close. baylor would hammer them. Once again, see no offense. They flat out cannot score. baylor can. Tenn.- yeah probably. But it would be close. Tenn. sucks pretty bad. Miss. St.- yes. for sure.
Mike, Georgia, Alabama, LSU? I think you are a few years off on these.
Georgia would lose by 4-5 TD's. So would Alabama. LSU cannot score and their defense can't stop anyone at all. They would get blown out.

You mean to tell me that after Saturday's game Mizzou doesn't have a pourous defense and an average offense?

they were playing the best offense in the nation. Their defense is bad, but not as bad as LSU's offense.
Their offense is way better than LSU's defense.
OU's offense is arguably the best in the history of college football. No one has stopped them.

OU will continue to disappoint in the big game. Florida wins this by double digits.

While I believe that OU's body of work is FAR more impressive than Florida's, and they are a lot more talented and balanced, I am nervous about the game for that very reason.
They have not played well in BCS games of late, and I am worried that trend will continue.

I don't know...that Miami team from '01 was pretty amazing. They had OLs, DLs, RBs, WRs, TEs, LBs, CBs, and safeties drafted very high. Even their QB is still playing in the NFL. They are the most complete team I've ever seen. OU has more offense but Miami was a better all-around team. USC's defense this year is almost as fast.

FWIW, OU's lowest offensive output of the season came against TCU...

What are you talking about? I never compared OU to any team other than Florida.
Well, I said their offense is possibly the best in the history of College Football, but not the team as a whole...they are probably not even the best in the conference.
