and how are you judging that?
The big 12 has 5 teams in the BCS standings
The SEC has 3

Because the bottom of the Bog 12 is some of the worst football in the country. They top Big 12 teams get easy wins that way, wins SEC schools don't get. There are no Iowa States, Colorados, K-States, and Baylors in the SEC. In the Big 12 you have an entire division (north)that is suspect.

What about Tennessee, Auburn, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Miss. St, etc.
They may have a name, but those are some of the worst teams in the country.
baylor would beat every one of those teams right now.
Plus, that "whole division" has one team in the BCS standings and another that is ranked in the top 30.

Aside from this year, I always felt that the SEC was deeper than any other conf. They seem to always have more speed than other schools.

There are 5 or 6 middle of the road teams in the SEC that would have won the Big12 North. Teams like Tech, KU, Okie Lite need to do more than have a good year once every 10 years before I give them any credit. If you play in the Big 12 North, you get Colorado, K State, and Iowa State. 3 Automatic wins.
I think your opinion of Baylor is a little skewed. Right now, they are a one player team that rely on Griffths athletic ability against Big 12 athletes. That ability would be matched in the SEC.

haha, there is not a single player on any of those middle of the road teams that could carry Griffin's jock. that is funny.
Not to mention, they have an NFL caliber receiver on their team too.
Auburn, Arkansas, Miss. St, LSU, Tenn., or Vanderbilt. Not a single one of those teams would beat Baylor, Mizzou, or kansas. They sure as hell wouldn't beat tceh or okie lite.
You must remember, those historically proud defenses, are terrible this year. They never have been able to score big points. They suck hard this year.

I honestly can't believe you are using Baylor an asset for the Big 12.
That has never happened in the history of this discussion.
Have you been drinking?

They aren't an asset to the big 12.
What I am saying is that the 5th place team in the South and the 7th best team in the conference would beat those teams.

and which one of Baylors 4 wins leads you to this conclusion? Northwestern La.? Washington State? Iowa State? Texas A&M?
Maybe their moral victory (close losses) to UCONN or Mizzou?
we don't count moral victories in the SEC.

Name some of those big time wins by auburn, miss. state, vandy, arkansas, tenn.,
Other than each other (who suck) who did they beat?
I'm judging Baylor from watching them. Just like I'm judging the crappy sec schools from watching them.

Let's see...arkansas beat two teams that were ranked in the top ten this year.
Auburn and defending national champion LSU
While researching Baylor, I did discover that they doubled their wins this year (4) from last year (2). Congratulations to the Bears! Sic 'em! Too bad about the 8 game losing streak to end 2007.

thank you, sir. I am sure Coach is knee deep in research as we speak. I am anticipating his rebuttal.
that sounds nasty.

No, I admit that there are years the SEC is the best conference. This isn't one of those years.
Who are those top ten teams Mike? Tulsa? Who else? You want to tie your argument to Tulsa?
You can't use other crappy conference teams to make your point. LSU sucks.
