I think the question is 'what does Leach have to lose?' If it doesn't work out he's looking at 3-4 years at 3.5-4 mil...so, 16 mill tops (if it doesn't work out). In Lubbock, he's got a job for life. Another 20 years at an average of, say, 3 mill (with extensions and renewals). I will never understand why college coaches leave for the NFL. It hardly ever works. Not everyone can be as great as Jimmy.

Jimmy would have been absolutley nothing without Jerry. (See Miami dolphins).
My inside sources tell me that a certain tampa bay Bucs head coach is interested in the tennessee job.

Your inside sources? You mean the Vols message boards that are littered with Gruden and Cower wishes?
Jimmy didn't succeed in Miami b/c Jerry wasn't there. That's baloney. The main reason he didn't do all that well is because of Marino. He wanted to replace him but he knew he'd be run out of town and probably fired if he did so. That was just a bad situation for him. He was handcuffed and rightfully so. I would have been pissed if he got rid of Marino too. It was just a weird situation all around.

When I said inside sources, I meant someone I know that is close to the situation, hence, inside source. You can make excuses all you want, but Jimmy needed Jerry just as much as Jerry needed Jimmy. No question.

I cannot reveal my sources.
He said that the job is Gruden's if he wants it, and there is a definite interest on Gruden's part. No contract negotiations have taken place as of yet.
