The people of tennessee hate spurrier because he was at Florida and beat the crap out of them. They would love him as their coach. Agreed. Didn't Spurrier grow up in Tennessee too?

True point about why they hate Spurrier. I think that hate would prevent them from hiring him. People in Tennessee are not as stupid and inbred as people in Mississippi.

I seriously doubt Spurrier will go to Tennessee, he is too old to start at another program. What about Leach? He would be great for the SEC.

That's like saying Hillary isn't that bad b/c she's not as liberal as Obama. A liberal is a liberal. An inbred is an inbred.

Other than the fact that he has dominated A&M Leach is by far one of my favorite college coaches. He is absolutely hilarious.

I'm not saying they are real far off, but it would take atleast a few years to get them back to MNC contenders. He is close to 70 isn't he.

He wouldn't work at a place where you have to schmooze and do a lot of PR stuff. Tennessee is one of those places. There are too many alumni who stick their noses into the Athletic Department and try to push people around (a la A&M).
he works great at a place like tceh, who has zero big money donors. The majority of tceh grads deliver pizzas or work at bars for a living.

Leach is going to Washington. I just hope he goes somewhere, that guy has killed us for far too long. I agree with you on that Fisch, Leach is way too laid back to coach at a high dollar program.

63, I guess if he has the drive he could go 7-8 more years.
Born Miami Beach, Florida. I guess that's not that far from Tenn.
