Art Briles would take that job in a heart beat.

I think TOBC is 63. Also seeing Cower's name flying around. You think he'd ever take on a college gig?

i don't think Briles would bolt. I think he will stay at baylor.
Arguably:
baylor has more potential than tceh as a job.
The town (while it sucks) is better than lubbock. The school is a thousand times better location is better More Big money boosters better stadium (not by much)
I think Baylor could end up being pretty dang good.

No SEC athletic director will hire Leach. They know his gimmick offense will not work against the elite athletes of the SEC. Experts say so.

That's funny. Some pussycats from Lubbock, Kansas...I mean Manhattan...flooded the TCU board a couple weeks ago. They were dancing on Prince's soon to be dead father's grave and we convinced they were going to bring GP home. I told one cat that it would be more likely that KSU would accept Dickey's begging to come home than it would for KSU's begging to convince GP to go home.

Funny. The mods on the TCU board sometimes rename trolls "Patterson's Shoe Laces" and their status is "turd."

I think Patterson would leave TCU for K-State. Doesn't sound far fetched to me.

Oh, I highly doubt he would...although he'd have a relatively easy path to the BXII title game and thus a BCS game.
I bet Cutcliff and Chris Peterson are the leading candidates with DC being the top choice.

I wouldn't be surprised if he went to KSU, although if he turns it down it means he is waiting for a certain job.

FSU will hire a bigger name than Gary Patterson.

Interesting thought from SI's Peter King in today's MMQB column...
2. I think if I were an NFL owner looking for a new coach in January, I'd want to interview Texas Tech coach Mike Leach. Every NFL team is using a version of the spread offense already, and this guy's got his doctorate in it. His football brain is obviously way ahead of its time, and he might be the next big thing in coaching. What would San Francisco, St. Louis, Cincinnati or Detroit -- or any number of other teams who might make a change -- have to lose?
