Odd But Not Unusual
Has the world changed or have I changed?Home About Palin is more of a man than a woman…
A spokeswoman for the National Organization for Women (NOW), noting Palin’s opposition to abortion rights and support of other parts of the social conservative agenda, told Politico, “She’s more a conservative man than she is a woman on women’s issues. Very disappointing.”
So, if I understand the NOW spokeswoman, in order for a woman to be a woman on women’s issues, she must (evidently) be pro-choice and hold socially liberal views.
Since when has affiliation with liberal views made a female adult more (or less) a woman? News flash to the millions of socially conservative women out there: you’re more a man than you are a woman on women’s issues. So saith the Gender Appropriation Gods (GAG) otherwise known as NOW.
NOW’s spokeswoman, though perhaps all woman, could use a course in critical thinking.

What I beieve NOW was saying that women should support women’s issues. Sarah Palin is an anti-feminist who does not support one single issue that is important to women.

Tazlmo,
First off, thank you for writing.
When you say “support women’s issues” I take it you believe there is one way to do that: support the liberal position in regard to those issues?
Allow me to pose a question using abortion as an example issue. In your way of thinking is it possible for a woman to be pro-life and still support ‘women’s issues’? How you answer that question is very important.
If you answer ‘yes,’ then I would agree with you and say that Sarah Palin then supports the women’s issue of abortion by being pro-life.
If you answer ‘no,’ then I would charge you with the same myopic thinking that stands behind the NOW spokewoman’s statement. Namely, in order to be a woman on women’s issues one must hold liberal views.
Is this not clear? The logic of her statement stands on its head.
My view is that women can be (and are) women, and support women’s issues any time and every time they exercise their vote in relation to their beliefs concerning positions that affect women in especial.

What are you people smoking? Seriously. One single issue? You should be a little more forthcoming and state “one single issue that does not agree with our liberal, socialist, Marxist, radical, absurd, unAmerican agenda.” You people need to get a clue. NOW does not represent one issue whatsoever that is important to the women in my family. Not a one.
