Oh, Fischer, you were right. The conference will look to screw us at every chance. The last two weeks have shown the incompetance of the Big XII officials. It wasn't why we lost...we did enough shooting ourselves in the foot and still had a chance to overcome the bad calls...but we had personal foul calls on back-to-back plays in the 4th quarter that were about as bad as I've ever seen. We had them stopped on a 3rd and long and these phantom calls kept the drive going and led to a touchdown. Again, the defense should have stepped up again but those two calls broke the will of a young defense. Hopefully next year when they're more mature they'll be able to overcome something like that. Just part of growing up.

I never said the officials would screw you. I said texas would.
Officiating is the least of TCU's problems right now. With or without Pachall, the frogs have a very real possibility of only winning one more game.

I hear Patterson is going to meet with TCU admin in order to reinstate Casey P. Patterson knows winning is the most important thing. Well played, HCGP!

That loser should be kicked off the team.
TCU will not win any more games with him than they will without him.

I never said the officials would screw you. I said texas would. Officiating is the least of TCU's problems right now. With or without Pachall, the frogs have a very real possibility of only winning one more game. Holding on to the ball should be the first order of business. Eight redzone turnovers. Seven inside the 10. Five inside the 5. Absolutely inexcuseable. This is a beat up unit and it has absolutely nothing to do with the week in and week out argument. Fifteen freshman have played so far. I believe twelve are true freshman. It's an uphill battle but they're learning to hunt together real quick. I suspect Pachall will be suspended for the rest of the year. He'll get the Honeybadger treatment. I also think GP will emphasize that there's no guarantee he'll be the starter next year. Boykin has a lot of talent and freshman Tyler Matthews was highly touted out of high school and by all accounts has a better skill set than Pachall did as at the same age. Pachall is a far better QB but with an OL that resembles the Cowboys I'm thinking Boykin is a better option right now. He was able to move out of the pocket and make some plays with his legs and arm that Casey hasn't been able to make. Pachall has been statuesque at times this year. He was sacked 5 times against SMU-not one from the blindside. He has a lot of Josh Hamilton in him. You have to wonder what his teammates think about him as well. I can't see him having much support in the lockerroom. We may not win another game or we may win 4 of 6. Either way, I'm going to enjoy it. One of the managers here at work is an OU alum and he said the most fun season since he's been a season ticketholder was '05 when they went 8-5.

Pachall has entered an in-patient rehab center and hopes to enroll next semester. He'll have a chance to earn a spot back on the team.

If an 8-5 season at OU is his most fun, he's doing it all wrong.
This DOES have to do with the week to week argument. Playing 15 freshmen is not that big of a deal. In the past, the frogs have been able to overcome injuries and drug suspensions because they were more talented across the board than everyone they played. Not the case any more. It makes the injuries worse, which results in getting blown out by ISU.

He meant in reference to most other seasons where, with the exception of the UT game, most games were a blowout and boring.
They lost 20 players before they even played a down of Big 12 football. The count is up to 22 now. They've never lost that many from spring to fall. They had depth but you can't expect to lose 20 players, not counting seniors, off your roster every year. 3/4ths of those 22 were 1s and 2s. At one point the other day you had the 3rd string QB (who, until Wednesday, was a WR and hadn't taken a rep at QB since August) handing off to the 4th string RB.
It wasn't a blowout. It was a 7 point game mid-way through the 4th.

It was a loss to the 2nd, well now third, worst team in the conference. A loss that was pretty evident the entire afternoon. Call it what you want.

They may need him to be a two-way player by the end of the season. Sheesh. Dave South did a good job of keeping me awake on the drive back from Waco.
