Agree with finch... Those conferences shouldn't have much say in what goes on in real football. Let the states who bring the dinero make the decisions.
Also, NTSU has turned the wac down about four times waiting for a cusa invite. I hope it's true. It could be really good for the mean green

I think I read somewhere that tOSU lost almost 200k on their last trip to the Sugar Bowl and I think TCU's gross on the Rose Bowl was something around 50k. Stupid.
There was an article on ESPN.com the other day that had reaction from the conferences about a proposed 4-team playoff. They cited two years ago when TCU was 3 and Oregon was 2. I think it was someone from the BIG10 who said it would only make sense to make those games neutral site games because if the situation were a little different 1) where would everyone stay if the game were in Eugene (apparently Eugene is noteably short on hotel beds) and 2) where would everyone sit if a game were played at TCU? Oh, so after all these huge TV deals with the conferences and bowls they're suddently worried about everyone getting a good night's rest at a Holiday Inn? GMAFB.

I really hate the Big 10, far and away the most overrated athletic conference in history of college sports.

The mtn. network called it quits last night. With BYU, Utah, TCU, and even Boise State and SDSU leaving it was no longer a financially viable operation. The mtn. was first conference network. The BTN network debuted a year later. The PAC12's network debuts this August. The SEC has a regional network that is sold to market affiliates.
I know there were a lot of jokes about the network, its availabilty, and it's quality, but the mtn. gave TCU's athletic department more accessibility than any other in the nation during this time. Sure, you can say no one got the mtn. but if you had DTV or Comcast you at least had the chance. Last year I believe 34 of TCU's baseball games were televised. About 20 were shown this year. 13 basketball games were shown. Previously, TCU baseball had not been televised since the HSE days when they broadcasted a weekend series in Austin in 1991. Almost the same goes for basketball. Even OOC football games against junior high teams were shown. Tennis, golf, track and field, rifle and even equestrian were all shown. The BTN spreads out the coverage almost evenly. The mtn. squeezed everything they could out of TCU and was their bell cow. They had the only student tv/film department in the conference capable of broadcasting live events other than BYU who decided to put their stuff on the even harder to find BYU network.

John L. Smith filing for bankruptcy. At least he won't have any money to buy the silence of interns.

tOSU coming to Fort Worth in 2018. We're going up there in 2019.
I was told there was mention on Texags the other day that TCU and A&M may be in discussions for 2014 but I did a quick search and didn't find anything.

I understand Okie State was jobbed by UT last week. Supposedly the Big12 issued an apology admitting the mistake then retracted said apology. Anyone else surprised UT would get favorable treatment by the Big 12?
I'll hang up and listen.

Man, and if anyone saw the TCU/SMU game you'd see even more incompetance on behalf of the B12 refs. I don't know which is worse: the corruption within the SEC officials or the incompetance of the B12.
GP will NOT be going to Arkansas. Keep dreaming. Move along to Butch Davis. You can have our QB if you want him. Looks like you need help in that department.
