What are we thinking about this team this year? It'll come as no shock to yall but I think they will compete for a playoff spot this year. I know the personnel hasn't changed really but I think the coaching will make the difference. I think players that we thought were good that sucked last year will show their true colors this year.... mainly on D. I think Spencer especially will have a better year. The scheme that Ryan has brought in will improve this D in a big way. Wade's game plan was too simple/predictable. So, look out for Spencer this year. I can't wait for some football.

I think we have a good chance to go 9-7 and maybe make the playoffs but I can also see 7-9.
I can't tell you how disappointed I am in the Cowboys moves this year. It seemed like the perfect year to fill our gaping holes, like the secondary. I thought for sure we would bring in 2 - 3 guys who would improve that unit immediately. I mean let's take a gamble on Bob Sanders, yeah he has health issues but he is one of the best in the league when healthy, defensive player of the year a couple years ago. I mean at least take a chance on him, I doubt he would have cost that much. Hopefully Newman will be better this year.......wait nevermind, that's just stupid to think.

I think the defense will improve greatly, which isn't saying much, we just haven't had enough time working in the new system. We may give up just as many points as we did last year but I think we will have more turnovers and the offense will capitalize on that.

There is no way we give up as many points as last year. Surely we wouldn't challenge the franchise record for he second year in a row.

Nothing surprises me though and this defense is structured to take risks, which not only means more turnovers but more big plays for the other team.

Well, I forgot how bad Romo was til the 4th quarter tonight. Terrible. We need more Kitna...or McGee. That one falls squarely on Romo's shoulders. Unbelievable. I thought we'd get blown out, but after seeing the first 3 quarters, I was beginning to think this thing had something. What a poor excuse for a top tier QB. This team will always come up short with his sorry ass at the helm. That is all. Good night.

Yea he lost the game for them. The untouched guy running up the middle to block the punt didn't help either. Romo has to make better decisions.
They did look good for the most part though. Defense already looks better even though it was against the Jets. Just the fact that it wasn't so vanilla (like Wade's) made me happy. Players on D that stood out: obviously Ware, Sean Lee had a hell of a game, and I think Alan Ball had a good game The offense looked good to considering it was against the Jets Defense.... aside from the way they finished. Dez is the real deal as long as we can keep him healthy. Marty B might as well enjoy the sideline cause John Phillips is Witten's little brother. Felix looked pretty good. The offensive scheme seemed more balanced than it has in a long time. I know it is easy to question play calling after a game, but I just wish they would have ran it one more time inside the 5 before Romo fumbled.
I still think the Cowboys are ok. The schedule over the next few weeks favors them and they can get back on somewhat of a good track. Overall they looked better than we thought..... just a couple dumb mistakes by Romo lost this game.
