After last night, I don't think I would ignore either of those two. Last night is a perfect example of what I figured is going to happen. Dirk and Durant are going to get their points (both scored over 40), it's going to come down to guys like JJ, Westbrook, Kidd, Perkins, and Terry. Dirk was on fire last night, but the Mavs won that game because the guys around him were able to pick up the slack when Dirk couldn't get a shot. The Thunder tried to depend on Durant to win that game, which doesn't work in the playoffs.

Dirk wasn't much of a factor for the last 14 minutes of the game. JJ and Jet really picked it up. OKC said "we're gonna make your bench beat us" and the Mavs did just that.

10 pts in the fourth quarter is pretty good.

I feel even more confident in my prediction of the Mavs losing this series. Probably in 6.

After watching these first two games I'm thinking this series will probably go 7. The Thunder have youth and speed on their side, but the Mavericks are playing like a team that realizes this might be one their last chances at a title, and they aren't going down easy. I have no idea who I think will win.

This is a tough one to decided for me. The 2-3-2 format just doesn't sit well with me no matter which side my team may be on. It just doesnt seem right. I think that the bench's are extremely important and it has shown in the previous series. The Mavs by far have the best bench. The part I am worried about is having to guard both Wade and Lebron at the same time. they can't keep them in the whole time though and I think that is when our bench prevails.
I want to say Mavs in 5 cause I don't want the to have to go back to Miami. But I think It would be fitting for Dallas to win it in Miami in 6. There.
I leave for El Paso early Saturday morning so it looks like I will have to try and catch all the games after game 2 on the radio. SG.

I think it's going to be a good series, but the Heat D looked pretty dang solid last night. It will be interesting to see if Dallas can get their O back on track in game 2. If not they might be in trouble.

The Mavs wasted their best opportunity in game one. James and Wade pretty much coasted all night. I get the feeling the Heat believe they can turn them loose whenever needed and beat the Mavs.

Yea their D is solid. I have seen too many people jumping off the ledge because of a loss. They were in the game for over 3 quarters. I'm not saying they are going to win it. But you can't give up after the first game. Someone has to lose.
