I hope he has figured it out. I still wouldn't trust him in a big game. I don't know when that time will come.

Strong, strong moves today and yesterday by the little Rangers. I approve. Gets me excited. Now if we can put a line-up together that doesn't look like a spring training B game we will be on our way to some exciting baseball ball.

they'll pull out of this little slump soon. Stretches like this almost always follow big win streaks.

Trades made this weekend were awesome. As long as these guys pitch the way they have been we've got a shutdown bullpen on our hands and I feel extremely confident going into the stretch run and the playoffs. It'd say the Giants and Rangers would have to be my two favorites right now. The Giants pitching has been outstanding and all they've been missing is some offensive production. They got exactly what they needed in Beltran. The Rangers only glaring weakness has been the bullpen. I feel very confident going into the 7th, 8th, and 9th inning and I know Wash will feel more comfortable going to get the starter in the 5th or 6th if he just doesn't have it that day. The Yankees did nothing. Boston got Badard from Seattle who has been really good despite his record. But he'll only help them through the pennant race. He'll be pushed to the pen as a long reliver or situational guy in the playoffs.

Well then we'll have hunter in the pen, which will give some good depth. Still won't have a great 7th-8th guy though. Glad we addressed this concern yesterday...

Derrick Holland is the single most frustrating pitcher I have seen in 30 years of Ranger baseball. He's a close second to Chris Davis for me. At least Holland gives us a gem every 2-3 outings.

We have the best GM in sports, period. I love the rangers, but that is an absolutely ridiculous statement. It's arguable that he's not even the best in dfw. I doubt he's in the top 5 in all of sports. His teams have made the playoffs one time with zero championships.

He has been good over the past few years but Fischer makes a valid point.

Little Whistle may hold that distinction.

When it comes to putting a team together and making moves, he's the best.

Again... Absolutely ridiculous. That's what the gm's job is.
Look, I think he's great. But he is nowhere near the best. There are guys in every league that have accomplished more.
Daniels has engineered some great deals, but has had a few major flops.
Maybe he has potential for greatness, but he hasn't done anything at all yet to be considered among the elite. That's absurd. Of you weren't a rangers fan, you wouldn't even give it a second thought when naming the teams who do a great job with personnel and trades.

Without titles you cannot say he is the best. He has been great though.
Moving on. The Rangers are @det, vsCle, vsSea, and @oak for their next 12 days. I am going to make a hot sports prediction. 9-3 during that span going into a 4 game series @laa.

Dang. Great AB by Boesch on Adams. Not the start Adams wanted as a Ranger. Remember though, Cliff Lee's first appearance as a Ranger was dreadful.
