Wow. Some of the comments are brutal:
Just Like we expected. Keep in mind TCU’s main Objective is to get to a NC. And trust me the road they are going to take is the easiest one they can find. They already have analyst suckling at the TCU teat because of the Rose Bowl win. TCUs going to ride that as long as they can. Forget top notch competition proving that they are the best. Too bad they couldn’t play Auburn, maybe that should be their 2011 opener. However I do have a feeling that they would still wave the Baylor Flag.

I bet the AD is wishing he had never opened his big mouth. Had he never said what he said no one would fault them for turning down this game, but after you run your mouth like that you better be ready to back it up.

Considering how much isht that TCU fans and the local media talked about TT after they cancelled their meeting, TCU should (but won't) get any criticism around here cause the media services them. I know its not the exact same situation but this is precisely what TCU has been asking for.

You are 100% correct Craig. Great point.
We have had to listen to them shouting about how disrespected they are for a couple years now.
They finally get a chance to put their money where their mouth is and they back off. Not one bit surprising.

News travels slow around here...I've been hearing this for 2 weeks.
Here's the deal:
If Wisc had won the Rose Bowl would they give TCU a rematch? Hell no. It's just sour grapes and typical Big 10 arrogance. This isn't WWE or boxing...you don't deserve a rematch, especially in back-to-back games. That's just stupid. Had TCU lost they'd never ask for an immediate rematch.
If Wisc had said "hey, let's play a 2-game series. This year in Madison, say late September and next year in Fort Worth when you have your new stadium ready" TCU would have been all over it but not for a one and done in Madison. I don't know why everyone but Baylor and OU is scared to play in Fort Worth. We don't even know the financial terms and knowing the Big 10 they were probably insulting. The minimum to even get TCU to listen should have been 1.75M. Would A&M agree to go play at LSI for one game even if they had won the Cotton Bowl? NO.
This is completely different from the Tech thing because there was an actual contract between both schools to play a home and home. Tech backed out on both games.
TCU will play anyone any time as long as the terms are equal and respectful. There are only a few teams they'd agree to play in a one and done and Wisconsin isn't one of them, especially given the fact that we just played them. They aren't ducking them by any means. TCU is rebuilding but Wisconsin is too. It would probably be an ugly game anyway.

Well then don't bitch when you don't get a chance at the NC. If I was really trying to prove I was a big boy with big boy pants I wouldn't care about the money. Does TCU need money? You're talking about disrespect and all that when really you are just scared. Go ahead and play san diego state junior college for the deaf and stupid but I don't want to hear a damn thing when you guys are 10-0 and aren't getting any respect.

I wouldn't expect a shot at the NCG this year even if they 12-0 and were to beat Wisc unless there are no other undefeateds and the top teams have bad losses. This year's team will not be as good last year's. 12-0 is a definite possibility but I, along with most others, will be happy with a 9-3 season and a chance at 10 wins in a bowl game. I could be wrong. Casey Pachall could play lights out as a sophmore, young receivers could step up and play like the 4 seniors we lost, and the D could play just as good as last year despite losing 7 starters but I expect a minor setback this year. Call me objective...

Seriously, stubbs. You've made some contradicting, homer, flat out ridiculous statements before but there is no way to spin this.
TCU AD made the statement: "Anyone, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME" I guess he left of the last part..."but only if its a game we think we will win easily, and only if you meet our every demand."
Makes the program look stupid. Really does.
You're little argument up there might work for a team like OU, OSU, or even tceh. Because they don't go spouting off about not getting respect and how they'll play anyone anywhere to prove how good they are. They just shut up and play the dad gummed game.
I may call you a lot of things, but objective will never be one of them. That would be the biggest misnomer I can think of.

So what would you say if Wisconsin won the Rose Bowl and TCU wanted a rematch? You'd call us little bitches, which is what Wisconsin is being. Why play the very next game? It's stupid. What would it prove? That the Rose Bowl was a fluke? No. I wouldn't want to see Oregon and Auburn play the first week either. The only time I remember a rematch game in week one was Miami and FSU a few years ago after they played each other in the OB. Both teams hated it and it was the ACC that made it happen.
So if Wisconsin only offered TCU 250k they should take that game? Any AD in the country would lose their job for accepting that deal.

You are missing the point, and its painfully obvious.
NONE OF THOSE SCHOOLS BITCH ALL THE TIME ABOUT HOW NO ONE IS WILLING TO PLAY THEM. NONE OF THOSE SCHOOLS SPEW BS TO THE MEDIA ABOUT HOW THEY'LL PLAY ANYONE ANYWHERE ANYTIME.
To refuse the rematch is fine. Just don't give us all these boo hoo stories about how no one will play you (like you gave to me last Thursday at 8.0) or how you are willing to play anyone.
You can't have it both ways.

Wisconsin did this knowing good and well TCU wouldn't agree to this game. No one would. It's the Big 10 tring to save what little face they have left after their embarrassing bowl season. There are 119 FBS teams we would play before playing Wisconsing in the first game of the season.

TCU would play themselves before playing Wisconsin? That would be kind of weird.
