You don't want TCU to START whoring themselves out? Are you kidding? They started that a long time ago.
Any red on the TCU uniforms is retarded. Its not their colors. I don't care if Horned Frogs shoot blood out of their eyes or not.

Agree, pretty bad. Also, looks like the BE just got a little bit tougher with Holgerson going to WV. Things might be a little tougher for TCU than they originally thought. Am I the only one that sees what's going on here? The Big X is in BIG trouble. First Texas cleans house on some coaches. Then they lose Muschamp (not that big in and of itself) and he takes the Major with him. From what I understand, Major was their top recruiter. They have what 6-7 new coaches to replace? That thing is going to be a mess and does Mack still have what it takes to rebuild? Normally I'd say it's just one bad year and let's see what they do next year but with a complete coaching upheaval, the possibility of losing recruits, and the fact that the current talent on the field just isn't that good there's not much to be hopeful for in the near future. And that spells bad news for the Bevo X. No matter what everyone thinks, the BX absolutely NEEDS Texas to be competitive. Now that they're losing ratings giant Nebraska the conference needs Texas more than ever and a 6-6 Longhorn team is not going to cut it. I'm sure you Aggies would disagree but the Sooner and Ags cannot carry this conference in the ratings. A 6-6 Texas teams means hundreds of thousands of t-shirt fans won't be watching college football on Saturday afternoons. If the Ags hover around .500 it won't be that big of a deal. If OU does the same it will hurt but to a lesser extent than if Texas does. Mediocre ND and Michigan teams still draw well. Texas will not. How will Beebe be able to pitch a lucrative TV deal if the conferences bell cow is mired in mediocrity? The answer: he won't be able to and they'll be stuck in a similar situation that they are now. This is where the Big East comes into play. When they form their own network it will be extremely lucrative for the football schools as they'll get a bigger portion of the pie than the basketball schools. If they can somehow land Notre Dame (I'd be willing to bet money the BE would allow them to keep some semblance of their current NBC contract) then Kansas and Missouri can punch their tickets to the east. A&M and OU better hope that the offer from the SEC still stands. I'm afraid that ship has sailed. And that's sad because both schools and their loyal fan bases deserve better.

No, you aren't the only one who sees what's going on here... because that post is wrong on every single account.
Could not be more wrong. You're getting worse and worse in your sports insight.
* Holgerson could care less about the shape of the conference. He's going to be a head coach
* Major is still in Austin, and Mushcamp is said to not be pursuing him * Major is NOT known as their best recruiter. That would've been Muschamp, Giles, Chambers, Akina. * tu will always draw. They did when they were terrible in the 90's and they will if they are terrible now. * The Ags got an offer from the SEC. OU did not. The Ags offer stands.

If the conference fails, OU, tu, A&M, and OSU will be just fine.

The thing about Oregon (to me, and probably to me only) is that I usually always like their helmet cause I did the "O". And if it weren't for the wings or feathers or whatever it is that is on their shoulders I would like at least half of their jerseys probably. The white ones they are wearing for the NC would be alright if they didnt have the wings..... or the stupid neon green socks Nike threw in there. I like the O but only on a green helmet. The gray and mustard yellow lids are ridiculous. You don't want TCU to START whoring themselves out? Are you kidding? They started that a long time ago. Any red on the TCU uniforms is retarded. Its not their colors. I don't care if Horned Frogs shoot blood out of their eyes or not. I like the red on the helmet. It's subtle and gives it some character.

Goodness Stubbs, do live in some alternate universe or something. An 0-12 tu team would still out draw any 12-0 school in the BE, and it wouldn't even be close. Teams in the BE can barely carry their own markets, let alone move in to new ones. ND ain't coming to the BE, I don't know why you (and you are the only one I've heard mention it) keep talking about this. And good luck with Kansas and Missouri, they have done so much for the Big 12 all these years. The Big 12-2 doesn't need tu to be good to survive because frankly the conference wasn't meant to survive to begin with. It was structured this way to give tu time to figure out their next move after the Ags blew their plans to shit. Nebraska a ratings giant? That is one of the most ridiculous things you have ever posted on here. You want to talk about a team that's been down, they haven't won a conference championship in 11 years. A down tu is always great for Texas A&M. It may not be great to the conference, but Texas A&M has enough money, power, and alumni to make sure they are always at top of other conferences pecking order.

OU did not. The Ags offer stands. I never said anything about Holgerson caring about the shape of the conference. It's a great opportunity for him and he should do well at WVA. Last I heard Major was probably going with him but I haven't been able to watch or read anything since Sunday morning. If he's staying for now then that's huge. Whatever the case, all these changes on the staff can't help recruiting. The DMN had a blog that said several recruits are now wavering. Some are still solid (Akina was mentioned as the reason for staying by a couple) but some are vulnerable to be swayed. TU did well when you had a handful of options: CBS, NBC, ABC, and ESPN. Raycom and PrimeSports only had regional games and back then not as many people had cable and satellite. Now you have 3 options alone just for ESPN. There was one afternoon this past fall where I could watch 16 FBS games at the same time. Texas was on and I didn't even flip to see the score. I used to watch just hoping they'd lose but after ISU it wasn't even fun anymore. For the Ags sake I hope it does but until there's a playoff I don't foresee any major conference going beyond 12.

I just figured you were referring to Holgerson because you quoted a post about Holgerson.
Also, tu will ALWAYS do well. That should be painfully obvious.
Might want to read updated material before you start saying people are leaving. Even if he goes, that has no bearing whatsoever on the conference.
Like we've said all along, this conference is doomed from the get go. Recent events have nothing to do with it.
The SEC wants into Texas. They will take A&M. I'm sorry you can't see that.

Nike wanted the undershirt to have red sleeves and for more red on the pants but GP and the powers that be put a stop to that. This, or something like it, was the compromise. My fear is that TCU will start whoring themselves out Why is GP involved with this? Shouldn't he be worried about Wisconsonin.

What do you guys think about what Delaney said? Mark Cuban is willing to back this because he also believes everyone would make more money.
