I know no one on here cares about the NBA and I may watch the 4th quarter of Mavs games every now and then and thats it. However, I love seeing on sportscenter and ESPN.com when the Miama Heat lose. I hope they somehow miss the playoffs. That won't happen cause the East is so weak but gosh I love seeing them struggle.

Give them some time, it's an 82 game season. They'll have it together by the end of the year and probably make a championship run.
Why do people hate them so much? I really don't understand what they did that makes people so angry.

I think they'll win a lot of games and not win a championship.
People hate them because of the WAY that they handled themselves.
Not to mention none of their big 3 stars are very likeable. Maybe D-Wade but he's really not much to like either.

Just he way Lebron made "the decision," the way those 3 rose out of the floor at the Miami pep rally after they were signed, and cause Lebron couldn't try and win a championship by himself. The team has a real Yankees vibe.
Yea I know they will win plenty of games, but its just nice to see them losing now.

Just he way Lebron made "the decision," the way those 3 rose out of the floor at the Miami pep rally after they were signed, and cause Lebron couldn't try and win a championship by himself. The key phrase in there is "by himself". Cleveland already has a losing record and will probably be lucky to win 30 games this year. If LeBron wanted to win he had to get out of Cleveland. Ownership was either unable or unwilling to get him some help. Very few, if any, star players have won championships by themselves in the NBA. Jordan had Pippen, who is easily a better player than Wade or Bosh. Magic had Kareem, Kobe had Shaq/Gasoul, etc. People always bitch and complain that all star athletes care about is money, that none of them really care about winning. These three guys took less money because they wanted to win, yet are still hated. I just don't get it. Now the decision and introduction stuff I didn't like, but I thought it was blown WAY out of proportion. Bad idea, yes, but it's not like they did anything illegal.

Pippen was not a better player than Wade. I think a lot of it for me has to do with Lebron and the fact that stuff he has done lately rubs me the wrong way. The whole "racist" thing about the reason people were mad at him. Ignorant comments. I don't really have much of a problem with Wade except for the fact that the embarrassed the Mavs.

Look at their career stats. They are almost identical, with Pippen playing 17 years and way past his prime. Or look at Pippen after his 7th year which is what Wade is in now. Pippen had better numbers, was a better all around player, and was playing second fiddle to one of the greatest to ever play the game. Wade couldn't hold Pippen's jock.

I stick to my original assertion.
The reason people hate the Heat is because none of their stars are likeable. They are all very hard to cheer for.

James and Wade have been two of the biggest and most liked players in the NBA over the last 5 years, and nobody had a problem cheering for them then.

according to what?
I've always disliked Lebron quite a bit. Wade is more manageable but still not someone who I liked.

Lebron has recent actions that cause many people to dislike him.
