My friend's status on FB today....This world cup is like WWII. The French and the Italians surrendered early and the Americans turned up late leaving the English to fight the Germans. Maybe this time the English can beat the Germans without our help.

So, US loses to a third world country and looks like crap in the process. Ghana kids probably grow up playing with soccer balls made out of sheep bladders, and THEY beat the US? Someone remind me in 4 years to not believe the whole "US has a shot to win this thing" crap.

Ghana?  We LOST to Ghana!!! Not Brazil or Spain or Argentina or Germany. Hell, not even Mexico! We lost to Ghana!! It's Ghana look even worse when Ghana gets beat by 3 goals in their next game. |

Nobody said we had a shot to win. Ghana is a very good team. The produce a lot of top quality players. It was a game we could've won. Our defense never played very well. In 4 games, we led a total of 3 minutes. It was a good run. We won our group for the first time 80 years. It wasn't the ending we wanted, we could've gone farther.
