Rangers in first place (in a mild division) at 13-12 while the lAstros come in a t 8-16 (Last in the NL). Remember this is just an update, odds are this could be flopped next month.
Vlad stats: .333 AVG, .839 OPS, 2 HRs, 13 RBI, 11 R, 6 BB, 7 K, 3 SB...... I think we could say than its better than we could have asked for so far.
Byrd stats: .354 AVG, .975 OPS, 5 HRs, 19 RBI, 16 R, 2 BB, 14 K, 2 SB...... Having a great year as well and is outdoing Vlad so far.
The only thing better on Vlad right now SBs, BBs, and Ks. The one thing this team deosnt need more of is Ks so that a small plus.
I also think one problem with Vlad's RBI is that when he was tearing it up there was never anyone on in front of him. Bourbon, Young and Hamilton combined for like 3 hit in the first 2 and a half weeks.
Other observations: the MLB Network is awesome.
Fan Questions: Wonderin why Stubbs isn't a Marlin of Pirate fan.
Another Observation: Former Denton Ryan standout Austin Jackson is on his way to a possible RotY award through the first month of 2010.
Also, the Rangers number 3 and 4 starters have been All-Star caliber while the 1 and 2 starters have been quite sketchy.
More to come.

If you're going to bring up a losing nature, the strangers would be the first team on the list.

The Royals might have something to say about that.

I take that back. The royals have been to the world series twice and have won one. Rangers have exactly as many post season wins as the royals do ws rings

Vlad just made my ranger watching for the night last longer with a Grand Slam when they were down 5-0.

Don't forget, Byrd also comes with a glove and doesn't mostly DH. Don't get me wrong, Vlad has been much better than I expected (good call, Framp) but I wish Byrd was still here.

Yeah, if Vlad can keep up this level of productivity I can proudly say I was dead wrong on the old fart.

theres a long line of teams competing for the most shitastic team in baseball. unfortunately my team holds the last place position. there's not much to say when you're on your second 8 game losing streak and you're 26 games into the season. i love my team and will root for them no matter what, but dammit we suck. something needs to change.

The Astros may be the worse team this year but historically they aren't near as terrible as the Rangers.
I am not sure any team in MLB is as bad as the Rangers historically.
