The team that moved from Washington to Texas was actually an expansion franchise. Any success that the original Washington Senators had, which was one World Series and 3 AL penants, went with them to Minnesota.
The expansion franchise named the Senators started in 1960-61 never made the playoffs. That is the franchise that moved to Texas in 1974.
So even if you go with the same franchise, the Rangers are the worst in the Major league.
