They are offering Club tickets for the new place. For a $25K donation (payable over 5 years), you get 2 club tickets, which include food and non-alcoholic beverages for each home game. There's also like a $300 per years PSL. Don't have that kind of money.
The end zone and jumbo tron is ugly, I agree.

wow, they want that much money for those seats? That sounds a bit high for a team who has won about 5 games in the last 3 yrs.

I wish NT would get good again. It would be great to go watch them in the new stadium if they were respectable.
They play Kansas State in Denton this year. I have no idea how that happened.

Yeah, I was amazed they got that game. It's the last game of the season. Dodge will be out after this year, and we'll open the new stadium with someone able to put something together surely. I wish they would get good, too. That's a high price to pay for those seats, I know. Since they're classifying it as a donation, maybe it'll work out, but I doubt it. I'll hold off and see if I can get some next year for cheaper.

I think the whole UNT stadium looks terrible, not just the jumbotron and the shape of the endzone. Way too much aluminum and steel showing. You can check out the renderings of UNT, A&M, and the initial TCU plans on this site: hks.hksinc.com/#/sports/experiences/on-the-boards?ssp=true&gallery=57&id=albumThey're also the folks who did Jerry World, Luca Oil Stadium, US Cellular Field, and the AAC. Here's what they did on the south endzone at TCU. I've never been inside but it looks great on the outside. hks.hksinc.com/#/sports/experiences/portfolio?ssp=true&gallery=34&id=6Mike, seating capacity will be 42 once completed. If the endzone is bowled off it would bring it to 50. It's a precarious situation. We've had 4 games in the last 26 years of over 40k. Tech in '06, Utah last year, BYU in '08, and UNM on last year's final game. Our ticket prices are great but we still have trouble drawing 35 for CSU, WYO, SDSU, etc. BUT, if we want to get some BCS teams to come here I think a capacity of 50k is more attractive. We have Baylor at home this year. We were supposed to have Tech at home as well but they backed out. We have OU, LSU, and Ark on the future schedule. Depending on who you talk to Ark has already backed out b/c of the A&M thing but it hasn't been made official. LSU seems to be the only sure lock. If Bobby Stoops remains at OU I think there's a good chance they'll keep their commitment. But we can't build a stadium for just a handful of games. If we build it at 50 and 32 come for CSU, that's a 60% full stadium. Who knows? It might be a case of raising prices might actually make it sell more. If Neiman Marcus put a pair of jeans on their rack for $50 they'd stay there until Jesus returned. If they mark it to $200 it would sell immediately. This is why I'm not making the decisions. My sign for the OSU game: Nosebleed seats: $75 BFE parking: $30 Flat beer: $12 60000 empty seats: Priceless

If they build that addition to the South Endzone at Kyle the seating would be well over 100K. That place would be insane if full.

Didn't you say that the ultimate plan is to expand it to 150 with the radio antennae tickling the barefeet of Jesus?

I think eventually the plan is to bowl the entire thing 3 decks high with a capacity over 150K. It would also have a collossal pressbox added and a huge parking garage connected to the West side.
They change the plans nearly every year, and that expansion was way down the line.

Are they going to put the great Dave South in the endzone? That's the plan at AGCS-to put the radio team in the corner of the endzone like they've already done at Jerry World.

not sure.
What I am sure of is that you cannot tell what is going on in the game by listening to the Mouth of South. He is a legend but he has lost it.
"1st and 10 go the Aggies from their own 35...Johnson drops back to pass...throws...pass complete to Morrow at the 50...no, it was Tannehill, no, it was Morrow...no it was incomplete, no complete...Make that Gray on the carry for 3 yards...2nd and 2 go the Aggies."
You want to talk about confusing.
