Just thought I'd let you guys know that my tenure as a head coach has officially kicked off. We played two scrimmages Saturday in Pearland.
MWHS v Galena Park 2-1 W

The guys have set a goal of making the playoffs. It is not an unrealistic goal by any means for us. So far things have started off well. Next scrimmage is tomorrow night.

Lost 3-1 on Tuesday to a very talented Cy Lakes team. We gifted them 2 goals inside of the first 5 minutes. Made it very hard on us. The boys played hard for 75 out 80 minutes. We are scheduled to play Cy Ranch tomorrow. But it's still up in the air due to the cold weather.

hey, I don't want to tell a man how to coach his team or anything...but I would be careful about giving the other team goals. It makes it harder to win.

It was new concept we were trying out. It failed, so we will start looking for other ideas.

I think it works for many things... kick ball games must not be one of them.
Although it did work for Bama last night. They gifted tu with two terrible special teams plays and tu only got 6 points out of it.

Keep after them Coach, it's a long season. Kickball championships aren't won in January.
