I don't think I have ever seen someone so loyal to a coach who has yet to accomplish anything at their school. I think Petrino has accomplished things at Arkansas. He has reunited the fan base and made it fun to watch Razorback football once again. The program is headed in the right direction and I think great things are in the future. Liberty Bowl is about the type of bowl I figured we'd get it, so I can't say I'm not hp.

You are seriously lying to yourself if you think what BK did is as bad as what BP did.

They both left for more money and better jobs.
They both left before the season was over. The difference is Kelly's team is about to play the most important game in it's programs history while Petrino's professional's were mailing it in at the end of a losing season.
Kelly lied to his kids about the circumstances surrounding his quiting. Petrino, as is done in most professional organizations, left a memo explaining his status to his employees.
Like I said, I got no problem with Kelly's actions, just like I have no problem with Petrino's. I just don't understand the double standard.

We're going nowhere. I think the circumstances are different as night and day. You don't seem to think so.

Looks like Gill will finally get his shot at halfway decent program. Thoughts?

I'd have gone after Muschamp, but I think Gill will do well there.

Why would Muschamp leave tu? He has already been named the HC in waiting and is the highest paid coordinator in the nation.

It'll be 10 years before WM becomes HC at TU.
I side with Fischer. Leaving before the bowl game is pretty crappy but not nearly as bad as when you leave when you have a game the following Sunday. At least in a bowl scenario you have 3 weeks-month to get things in place.

Muschamp will be all over any HC job that is offered to him from a BCS school. He wants to be a HC, not HC in waiting. If he is worth a crap, he'll be able to leave his job to take the tu job when it comes open about 10 yrs from now.

If tu wins the MNC this year Brown will retire. Mark it. I think Bama will beat the crap out of them but stanger things have happened. Even if they do lose Mack will not be around 10 more years, I say 5 max.

I could not disagree with you more. I think he has his system down to such a science that he will stay as long as possible. If he was going to retire he wouldn't have signed an extension.
He told us once (probably 2 yrs ago) in brenham that he wanted to coach at least 10-15 yrs more and that he would probably be fired before he'd quit.
A lot can change in 2 yrs, but I seriously doubt he's close to retirement.

Shit, nevermind then. If that's what he said then that is probably how things will work out.
