As an expert on all things Nutt; It's either one of two things:
1. He realizes his team had it's best shot this year and his stock will never be higher to get out of Mississippi.
2. He's just using KU to get a raise from Ole Miss. He used to do this at Arkansas every year. (w/Neb.,w/ LSU...etc.)

Also a chance for NUtt to coach in the Big 12 North would be his dream come true. No competition and a fan base with low expectations. He could milk that situation for years.

I think its probably #2
Its easier to recruit in Mississippi than in Kansas.
The only other possibility is that the Big 12 North is terrible, and maybe he's tired of being an also ran in the SEC. Figures maybe he can compete in the lowly north. He also whips Big12 teams every time they play.
